My wife sent me a text before she went to bed. She had gotten up to go to the bathroom. All day today, when she stands up, she gets dizzy, fatigued, and nauseous. It happened again, and they checked her blood pressure. It was very low (77/33) when standing. Hopefully they figure this out soon.
POTS - but not a doc so take it FWIW

Thank you. I think one question is what caused this to happen so suddenly.

She sent me a message at 4 am. Her temperature was up 2.5 degrees, her pulse ox was down to 92, and her HR was 138. It sounds to me like it’s getting worse.

This doesn't sound like POTS anymore. I don't believe POTS has any association with fever. This sounds viral to me. I am not a doctor, though, of course.

Lots of compliments on these AE 100 Navy Linen McAllisters on their debut outing to dinner and the theater. The grey in the linen is not as pronounced as the tan and beige of the other offerings. These certainly cause some urinal anxiety😳.

Have worn this AE belt for less than 2 months and its already showing cracking and damage. Is this to be expected or did I get a poor quality belt? I have never seen a belt degrade so fast.

I have had many of my AE belts years without damage. If that is a recent purchase, then belt quality may be suspect. AE has had all kind of issues getting any kind of socks and belts in the last couple of years.

I find myself logging in every few hours for an update on her condition.

Update:
My wife is still in the hospital while they try to figure this out. She seems to be feeling better than she was 12 hours ago. Her iron levels are low, which may be contributing.
They are going to monitor her for at least one more day, with more tests tomorrow.

Also not a doctor, and hope sincerely your wife is doing well, but sometimes the experience of being in a hospital itself can trigger things like high heart rates, etc. It's extremely stressful and scary, even subconsciously, to be in a hospital. The low-grade fever does imply some sort of infection, but it a low-grade fever is not usually that concerning.

I don't know what it is that is besetting her. But the drop in iron and oxygen levels suggests anemia. Anemia can be a big concern if it is an acute thing. The low blood pressure could indicate some bleeding episode. The heart attack symptoms maybe a bleeding ulcer - the radiating pain and such?

I mean, again: not a doctor. Grew up around doctors, but you know, don't listen to a guy who likes Allen Edmonds.

Hi all - downsizing the collection a bit and posting some harder to find shell cordovan AEs for sale (as well as a few other shell cordovan shoes and boots from a couple other makers). Moving some new in box chili shell Fifth Aves (size 10.5E) and unlined walnut shell Daltons (size 11.5D). A couple pics for reference.

Thought I would mention here too as the AE B/S/T isn't super active. Feel free to shoot me a DM with any questions and additional details can be found here:

Wishing you well. I'm sure she's in the right place to get care.

Prayers to you and yours🙏.

Just hold onto the partitions, bend your knees, and lift your feet up behind your back as far as possible. Has the added benefit that you no longer need to use your hands in this position, gravity does all the work. Appreciation for AEs is the only reason I have any core strength.

AE100 Walnut Macs out this Sunday afternoon.
