Depending on the makeup, I think the 12D could work. I just tried on the woolly version and it fit much smaller than the smooth and grain version. My Shell Landons are all 9.5B with a good fit. The Woolly in 9.5D felt the same. But some of the leather versions fit way bigger. This one is very dependent on materials.

Damn it's one of those.....

Yeah I'm pretty sure he'd only want the leather....I'll run it by him. I won't push it though. Thanks for the feedback - spot on as usual, exactly what I was looking for.

Btw - dont give me that "I dont know how to start a thread" mierda this time. 2022 thread WILL be lead by you.

Regretfully, I'll be sharing some tough news today. Our Charleston outlet location will be closing at the end of the month. Many of you are familiar with my store, and I want to emphasize that this was not a decision made by Allen Edmonds, just unforseen circumstances regarding the volatile real estate environment today.

Jason and Aliyah will moving on to seek other opportunities, and I have complete faith that they will land on their feet as they are incredible hardworking, bright people. I have accepted a new role as Events and Grassroots Efforts Manager, where I will be planning and overseeing all events with Allen Edmonds, continuing to help brainstorm ideas for limited events, and advocating for enthusiasts like you. I'll be working remotely for a while and eventually moving to our headquarters in St. Louis next year, so I can do a better job at relaying your thoughts and wishes to our leadership team directly. Charleston's last day of business will be December 27th, and until then you can take 50% off whatever I have physically in my store, starting tomorrow. Phone and email orders will be accepted but please be patient as we will probably be fielding a lot of questions, emails, and calls. I truly hope that you'll reach out or stop in before that day, we would love to hear from you. I'd love for Charleston to go out with a bang.

If I have been your sales associate over the years, it has been an absolute honor. I will spend my last few weeks in the store making sure that you all are connected personally with an incredible sales associate in your area (or someone I know you can rely wholeheartedly on if you aren't near a store). I've said before that there are MANY unsung heroes in this company, and I'd like to personally introduce you to them.

Ashley
So sad, as many have said. My first, and many subsequent pairs, have come from you and Jason. I’m glad that they recognize the value that you provide the company. You’re a rare talent that would excel in anything you do. If/when you find yourself in the Phoenix area for a business trip, like others have said, would be fun to get a coffee or lunch and talk. I appreciate you and Jason that have taken care of me. Thanks!

I have dealt with leases in the past and I can be one to say that no location is a slam dunk when it comes to renewing a lease. It has been whacky for the past 30 years.

Everyone's favorite combination, Brogue Suede Strands and Amtrak carpet.

IMG_0151.jpeg

For fans of "A-E In The Wild" pictures, aboard Amtrak Train 770, a southbound Pacific Surfliner, enroute to San Juan Capistrano this morning.

Yes, I am wearing Chup socks. They were a gift. There's no way I would ever spend $35.00 for a pair of socks.

IMG_0122.jpeg

For fans of food pictures in shoe threads, tea, a mini Moet, and me at The Tea House On Los Rios in San Juan Capistrano CA.

Yes, I would spend $28.00 for a mini Moet. My priorities are in the right place.

IMG_0181.jpeg

For those who can't get enough food pictures in shoe threads, the dessert, a chocolate brownie and a lemon tart. Sabrina very kindly told me I had whipped cream from the lemon tart on my nose.

IMG_0186.jpeg

Extra Added Attraction: Waving at the YouTube San Juan Capistrano Depot Cam after Train 770 arrived. As you can see from the time on the video, Train 770 was around 20 minutes late.

I'm wondering if I got a Fedex notice of my TS shoes. I have a new shipment notice from the "E-Returns Department". I ordered marbled black -- anyone else get a shipping notice from Fedex today?
I received an email for my Natty Strands, but not Marbled Black. Hope those will be arriving soon!

Four years ago Team Charleston made this MTO happen even though … ahem the MTO was technically defunct at that time. Furthermore, since stock Long Branches were on sale the week the MTO dublin Long Branch got ordered, someone might have theoretically keyed in the sales price at the time the order was placed.

I mean, I ain’t saying that happened. Might have been some computer glitch. I mean, things like that can happen.

Regardless of the reason for the close, this is a major loss for AE from an enthusiast perspective. I get she’ll still be around as a representative, but luxury purchases should have some amount of personality. Ashley, among others, has a passion for the brand and her customers. I’ve met some of the others, and I will not be purchasing from them for that reason. Taking a personality out of the front line like that really takes the wind out of my sails. Hopefully I can find someone that is worth working with, otherwise future purchasing will be sparse…

Going into the grease pits this morning. And, I don’t wear the 5A in there.

Team Charleston Tribute, Episode 2.

During the very first trunk show I couldn’t make up my mind for the longest. Then when I finally tried calling Charleston, the number I had had been changed but the website hadn’t been updated. I finally got the right number and left a message, in the chaos, the message fell through the cracks and the order window closed. Understand, this was somewhere between 99.44% and 100.0% my fault. I still got a nice follow up call.

3-4 weeks later Ashley calls with news she had recovered from The Abyss a few Wolverine x AE 1,000 Milers in unlined shell and a couple were close to my size. Gave me first pick and held the other in case the first size didn’t work. Fantastic boots. Still bloom like crazy.

Truly exceptional custom service. She didn’t have to do that.

Before all of the TS goodies arrive, I’d better get my post in!
<In my best @Roycru impersonation>

If you ever have the opportunity to visit Aruba, I highly recommend it. Beautiful people, island, food, beaches, and activities.

Please keep these episodes coming. I might also share some of my favorite purchases Charleston found for me.
