In regards to the Landon, you ladies are smoking grass and drinking Bush beer!
It is a kick-ass boot, but you need to try it. It will wear differently for everyone.
Nahh, I am using ******* and lattes.

Thank you! I would have probably (or even surely) bought a 2030 service boot in EE from Viberg in the size Jesse suggested. Problem is, the colours that attracted me were all sold out. And according to Viberg there is no return option for their boots from the 'monthly preorder' section. So if I should pick a Viberg, I will have to wait until they bring a model I would love to get.
The Landon is one sexy boot for me, not too casual, not too much work boot style, still a 'solid boot' but elegant. My upcoming experience with the Landon will surely help my decision should I consider a Viberg in the future.

(I must say that I find it a bit poor, that the majority of shoemakers do not offer dimensions for their shoes, RM Williams' size charts feature mm-data for their length as well as for their different widths. These data would have helped me a lot, especially since my only problem is wide feet, but otherwise the shape of my feet and arch is normal.)

Dimensions are minimally useful since your feet (and shoes, naturally) are 3 dimensional. Good luck with the Landons!

I'm never touching Modified then...
I had too much volume at 11EEE, but decided I couldn't live with the crunch (I don't get that in HM 11EEE). To me the Landon last feels most like Barrie.

This will give you some idea. I personally love the modified last (but it has to be something I'm willing to spend a lot on). The heel on the Landon is more snug too. The ball room is roughly the same in both shoes (the Alden is 1/2 size down from the Landon).

I'm so torn on what to do. These are an excellent pair of seconds, but wondering if I should try 1/2 size up. The feel good as dress boots, but the instep is a little wide. AE does design the instep on their boots consistently with some of their lasts like the 65.

Gentlemen, can anyone, please, shed some light on this model? Name, last, color, type of leather, etc. Thank you.

Happy Friday Eve boys! Some loooong collars for the day's fare.

The Mrs. is at a friend's dinner party so it's me and the baby this evening. First time she's left the baby since she was born 2.5 months ago. Baby cuddles are certainly a new experience!

I'm inclined to say at least try another size - that gap seems kind of large. To be honest if I were you and liked the 65 & 108 as much as you do, I'd say screw the Landon and go for an olive Lombard - I think you'll like the fit better, it's soft and has poron & danite and you don't have any other chelseas. Just my 2 cents.

I just placed an order for a custom boot from an Indonesian bootmaker. They are going to modify a last for my feet, so I am expecting a good fit. It’s fun to order a boot where you can specify every detail. You can probably guess that it’s going to be unique.

I also have an order from the recent AE shell trunk show. AE got a two-week head start. The Indonesian maker has to modify a last and make a boot with one-of-a-kind specifications, then ship them to me from across the globe.

Which will arrive first?
It seems like a slam-dunk for AE. I would not be surprised if the Indonesian boots arrive first though.

Place your bets here — the race is on!
