Walked around in Hollywood today for three hours so wore Horween English Tan Dublin Leather McGillicuddys which have Danite soles.
My shoes and William Powell's footprints in the forecourt of the Chinese Chinese Theater on Hollywood Blvd.
For fans of "A-E In The Wild" pictures, in the Hollywood Highland Center which is in the process of being converted from retail to creative office space.
The vacancy behind me once was Sweet, the second largest candy store in the world. A number of people I used to work with gave up good jobs and went to work there when Sweet first opened.
Went there right after Sweet opened and commented with the low average sale (candy isn't expensive) and the lack of foot traffic since Sweet was on the second floor Sweet was seriously overstaffed.
As time went by, the staff at Sweet was reduced over and over again. Sweet closed forever a few months before the pandemic began.
For fans of food pictures in shoe threads, tea and me at the Chado Tea Room in the Hollywood Highland Center in Hollywood CA.
Leaving the tea spoon in the tea cup in this picture is not bad manners. It is a demonstration of nearly lost knowledge.
If you leave the spoon in your cup on the train, what's in your cup doesn't slosh out onto the saucer. You do have to remember to take the spoon out of the cup when you drink what's in the cup.
For fans of random Hollywood pictures in shoe threads, Humphrey Bogart's prints in the forecourt of the Chinese Chinese Theater.
For those who want still more random Hollywood pictures, after tea walked up to the high tower at the end of High Tower Drive.
After that walked down Glencoe Way to the Frank Lloyd Wright designed Samuel Freeman House. You can't see much of it from the street.
On the off chance anyone else wants to do this, here's a map.
The dotted lines on Glencoe Way are these stairs.
If anyone is wondering, I didn't spend $30.00 to get into the Icons Of Darkness pop-up in the Hollywood Highland Center so if you were hoping you would scroll down his far and find pictures taken in there, sorry.
Maybe someone else who post in this thread with go inside and take pictures.
One more random Hollywood picture, Hollywood Blvd was still closed this morning because they were clearing things away after a premiere at the El Capitan Theater yesterday.
