I am both amazed and a little bit scared, bro.

I really love the Strand, but uh, don't....don't you need some other styles?

I mean, you're the king for a reason. I love the strand, but I think that you might be married to the strand.

Well no RDA for me, cat needs a tooth extraction and it's over $1k

Looks like he is going to have to learn to be ok with having his teeth brushed from now on.
I have multiple cats. The cost of tooth extraction varies WIDELY among veterinarians. That price is way higher than what I’ve had in the past. Please consider checking with a few other vets.

You sir, are an American hero. A king among kings. An inspiration to every man who loves shoes.

I can only aspire to collect 1/10th as many Mac Neils as you have Strandmoks.

Thank you sir! Here's hoping they bring back the MacNeil for an encore appearance. It's a shame that AE doesn't have a LWB in their catalog right now.

For those of you who the 201 fits better than the 65, what size adjustment in 65 generally works best for you? Same size, up one width? Any general consensus? I'd try on shoes at the store but unfortunately the closest store is about 5700 miles away ?

i wear the same size in both. It’s just with the 201 I get better closure in an oxford.

The end of a LONG day in my Hopkinsons. Not a great pic but they are soft as butter. One of the best thing AE has done is the Indy series. Easily on par with C&J bench grade.

Regarding the Itshide commando; I have it on my MTO Long Branches. It is a very good sole. Wears like my AOC Indy boots.

Y’all know this is my favorite time of the year. What time? TRUNK SHOW TIME! Get ready! We’re lean and mean this year with a slightly more streamlined show, but we've included some seriously rare colors this year that should get even our most avid collectors excited ;)

■ WHERE AND WHEN:

• Orders can be placed in any store from October 29th- November 8th.

• The first leg of the show will kick off in LA, Michigan Ave, Madison Ave, Nashville, Dallas, and KOP. Each of those stores will have mixer events Friday October 29th.

• The second leg of the event will go live in Boston Newbury, Indianapolis, Denver, Tampa, DC City Center, and Scottsdale, where they’ll have their mixer event Friday November 5th.

• Although non “host” stores will not be having actual in store events or physical samples, they are all absolutely participating in this show! They will be armed with tons of reference photos and information, and are completely prepared to help you with anything you'd like.

• You do not have to order in person. You can call or email ANY store with your selections and participate remotely! SUPPORT your favorite store by reaching out early and letting them know you plan to participate! Many stores keep detailed notes about trunk show orders before the show to make sure the kickoff day goes as smoothly as possible.

• The mixers will officially begin in host stores at six, but they can begin keying in preorders starting the morning of 10/29/21. You might meet some like minded enthusiasts in your area!

■ COLORS AVAILABLE:
• Colors offered for this cordovan event will be: Brown, Black, Burgundy, Chili, and (DRUMROLL)...MARBLED BLACK and NATURAL.

• Natural is the great white whale all our customers beg us for every single year. At one point, per Horween...for everything thousand shells produced, only 10 to 20 of them were clear enough to reserve for Natural shell. Marbled black is a stunning wildcard that pulls green and brown as you shave the black shell down. Of all the marbled shell we've utilized, Marbled Black shell is the most unique in my opinion. And you know the best part? We’re considering both of our exciting additions unlimited currently. All colors are available to all stores.

■ STYLES AVAILABLE:
• Park Avenue $695
• Strand $695
• Randolph $695
• Higgins Mill $725
• Landon $725
• Freeport $725
• Park Sneaker $595

■ SOLES AVAILABLE: There is an attached chart listing all available soles for each model, along with the default sole. Please note that this chart also includes style numbers for each model as well as which models will be exclusive to stores/unavailable online.

■ EDGES AND WELTS: We will not be offering welt and edge ink changes this show. You can find the welt and edge colors assigned to each cordovan color in the chart attached.

■ OTHER KEY POINTS:
• The usual $120 special makeup fee is waived during this event
• All sales are final! No returns or exchanges, so be certain of your size beforehand.
• Natural shell and Marbled shell have a lot of variation, which is a characteristic of these colors that we embrace and do not consider a blemish.
• Please also note that there is no way we can honor requests regarding the extent to which a pair of shoes is marbled.
• We are not accepting out of size range makes at this time, and we aren’t accepting any customizations beyond what’s outlined here.
• We expect a quote time of around 8-12 weeks.

As always, I'm here to help you with any questions you have! Feel free to sound off below with any inquiries, but here is one for YOU: What will you be scooping up this Fall?

At the risk of sounding like an imbecile, is this the natural strandmok?

The Strandmok is not offered in this upcoming TS, but the Strand is. Looks like a natural shell Strand with the actual 65 last in it. Interesting to see how voluminous the instep is and also how wide the v-gap was designed to be.

Cool, since you showed me yours, please allow me to show you every pair of Strands I own and by that I mean the one pair, walnut because Paul Grangaard told us all to get walnut Strands...you know, for hashtag menswear reasons.

This is actually all the pairs of non-athletic shoes I own, and will probably ever own. I think you have more brown-family Strands than I have shoes....

As a first timer/ newbie for an AE trunk show, and residing outside USA, I have a few basic questions. Will be great if Ashley, or any other members, can shed some light on these:

1. How does one order through email - meaning, is there some centralised email ID for placing orders? If not, how do I know which AE store to contact to place an order through email? Is there a list of the participating stores with their contact details that can be shared please?

2. Will payment instructions/ online payment link be sent by that store, when I am placing the order?

3. Is it possible to receive reference material with pictures and details of the models/colors etc through email? If so, how do I get those?

4. Will these be shipped internationally? Alternatively, if not, can I have these shipped to a relative residing in the USA?

Apologies if these questions are very fundamental ones - as I said, this is my first foray into a trunk show that too from outside the USA! :)

So, I grabbed another two of the "good" Allen Edmonds shoe trees while they're closing them out at 2 for 50. That gives me two more trees than I have shoes.
