Gray, drizzly, overcast day called for some Trunk Show gray suede MacNeils. Truth be told, pretty much every day calls for Trunk Show gray suede MacNeils.

Bumping around an antique shop I found a shoe brush with ostrich compartment.

It had the essence of a traveling salesman who needs to be successful. Make sure that you have a shave, combed hair, clean fingernails, brushed teeth and shiny shoes. Too bad the bristles were nylon instead of horse hair.

Well, I had not considered it for clothes. I just made the assumption it was for shoes based on the similarity to shoe brushes. As usual, I well could be wrong. There was no price on it. I was there in search of different prey. Vintage child's sewing machines. They sold the two they had yesterday. My life's story: a day later and a dollar short. I enjoy taking them apart and rehabbing back to working condition. Here is my latest.

Who is the best AE fitter in Manhattan and at which store?

After 12 months and not much luck trying to figure out fit via "online purchase and return", I am ready to enter an AE store. There are 4 in Manhattan so I am hoping someone local can tell me which store has the best fitter.

Yup. Getting that crazy pink color is kinda angle-dependent, but wow is it apparent once you get it right.
