You have a room for trash? I obviously need to step my game up. Lol!

Yes, it's in North Wing next to the charcuterie and cheese cellar.

In the more somber reality, it's our building's trash room. We have a dedicated bin for cardboard recycling, so the boxes were still pristine.

Haven't been here in a couple of years. Nice to be back. I have my brown Sea Islands on today, as it's still hot in Chicagoland.

That's not the reason for my visit. I have a question--how do you tactfully explain to a man that black pants, and a colored shirt with same color tie, none of which has any natural materials, is not stylish? The person isn't bad looking, but I just think they are scared to venture out a bit. I know he would thank me later.

The most comfortable shoes I own are my McGregor and Boulevard shoes. Both are 65 last, both 13 d. You will definitely have more volume in the APL. I own the Normandy boot on the APL in 13 d. I wear them only with mid or heavy weight socks. With mid weight socks my left foot sometimes slides forward in boot as I walk, so maybe that’s an issue with the fit of the heel? It’s not so bad that I don’t wear them. I should probably be a 12.5 in the boots I own, but that is an usual size so I just go with 13. Also had Alpines in 13 d, which is 1757. Felt very good in heel and across ball with mid weight socks.

Just buy him a pair of AE Shell. Give them to him and say, I can help with shoes, but your clothes: (long pause) DAMN!

Not sure if anyone has seen this, but this guy on eBay is selling a bunch of NOS in kind of odd sizes. Not my store, obvs.

The vintage of these is curious, for sure! The stock is a little too new to have come from the store in this article.

No matter how bad your day is you can always make it worse by struggling to put on those floppy tongued fools, the grey suede Strandmok 2.0s.

For fans of "A-E In The Wild" pictures, aboard Metrolink Train 662, an outbound Orange County line train enroute to Orange CA and contemplating how one of the best shoes ever, the suede Strandmok 0.0s and one of the worst shoes ever, the suede Strandmok 2.0s, could have been made by the same company, or even on the same planet.

Some random travel advice: If you ever see this out an airplane window, hold on to your seat and brace yourself.

A random travel question: Haven't been on an airplane since Jimmy Carter was President. Can the seat cushions still be used for flotation devices?

It depends on whether or not said airline is stull using planes from the time of the Carter administration.
