I bought the blue suede strandmoks I have been showing off recently precisely to go to Yankee Stadium with shoes that suit the greatest team in baseball. Yesterday, they saw the Yankees eviscerate the Orioles 13-1.

Typical "Count the Rings" kind of an answer from a Yankees fan.

Mets one the first series this year and we both got another one to look forward to.

but the way things are trending right now, congratulations on the series sweep. And at least I'll have Giants football to distract me by then.

LOL. Honestly, I think the Mets are doing really good in general. I am rooting for them to do well, as I'd love to see the Yankees-Mets again in the series.

I have no real antagonism against the Mets, but I'd like to see a nice, friendly rivalry develop into something really epic again.

I see your longwing Wednesday Mac-Unknowns, and I raise you these dark chili 2.0s, which I bought in May of 2020 and are finally making their maiden voyage. I just couldn’t bring myself to expose my darlings to the cruel sidewalk and synthetic carpet. I thought about covering them in bubble wrap but possibly people might begin to wonder. But I suppose these bluchers cannot be truly happy until they are lovingly wrapped around a man’s foot. So maybe they should be thanking me (and posting photos of their adventures).

For my money the oxblood calf is king but the dark chili is princely.

Another member also inspired me to try 2 inch cuffs on these BB wool trousers.

I used Fiebings dye. I believe that the color is called “green.”
It’s been a while since I dyed these, and I’m having a hard time remembering the exact details. There’s a chance that I might have included a very small amount of blue in the dye mixture.
Speaking of odd color names, someone in my office took delivery of a new Ford Bronco yesterday.

The color - "Area 51".
That really paints a picture...

@BFT9000 is the Strand King.
@EdwardWilson & @smfdoc are MacNeil Kings.

I feel like the Mac Neil Royal Family has a lot of members. Compared to some my collection is merely that of a court jester.

I do love these shoes. Fat and clunky they scream classic American business attire during the Cold War. In my opinion are also the most comfortable and best fitting of AEs selection.

Area 51 is such as nice color though. The whole "flat matte grey/blue" range we are seeing from a lot of auto manufacturers is fantastic.
