Found a nice deal on a pair of unworn Long Branches in Gray, which just arrived. Can anyone tell me about this leather? Is this a waxed calfskin? What is the appropriate care and maintainence? Fit is perfect and very comfortable - and only pair of Vibram lug soles other than my hiking boots.

Pretty sure these are calfskin. Regular maintenance nothing unusual.

Once again @Rithrin is correct.

Suede shoes are the best shoes to wear at the Huntington Library, in this case Brogue Suede Strands on January 24th 2019.

For those who have scrolled this far and are wondering where the food picture in a shoe thread is, tea and me in the Rose Garden Tea Room at the Huntington Library on January 24th 2019.

Hopefully Rithrin was there long enough to see the pictures of Henry Huntington's next door neighbor, George S. Patton, whose family lived next door when Patton was a little boy.

George S. Patton, Julia Child, and Paul Fussell are all from Pasadena.

Looking good, as always! Especially with the suede.

Tea room was being remodeled while we were there. Maybe next time!

Wore white suede Nomads again today.

For fans of "A-E In The Wild" pictures, at the Montanez Adobe and Butterfly Sanctuary in San Juan Capistrano CA today.

For fans of food pictures in shoe threads, tea and backlit me at The Tea House On Los Rios in San Juan Capistrano CA. Some day will have to get a newer iPhone with a camera that compensates for back lighting. The iPhone 5C camera doesn't.

Extra Added Attraction Picture: This morning boarded the southbound Amtrak train at the Van Nuys CA depot. Both Amtrak and Metrolink trains stop at Van Nuys.

Van Nuys may be the most famous, or infamous, place Metrolink trains stop. In 2017 a Metrolink engineer mistook a possum on the tracks for a person on the tracks and tied up the whole railroad, Metrolink, Amtrak, and Union Pacific, for several hours.

A search turned up only a dead possum and a bag with a chicken with its head cut off in it. To this day no one knows if any attempts were made to find the rightful owner of the bag with a chicken with its head cut off in it.

Beautiful photos. I actually LOL'ed at the possum story.

Every time I see your posts, I feel like I'm watching a Hitchcock movie. Absolutely love the content!

2nd Ebay purchase arrived, I believe these are "nubuck" Strandmoks. Gently worn, but could use a mild cleaning. These are my first nubuck leather. Can anyone share cleaning / care procedures for this leather?
