My preferences for a MacNeil are (in order) Burgundy Shell, Black Grain Calf, Dark Brown Suede. Stodgy and old school? Guilty. I, however, like to check off something classic.

If, however, I was to step outside of the box, how about a Football Grain MacNeil. I'd be all over that.

Natural, bourbon or brown Mac Neils in shell or calf would be nice. Perhaps a tan welt.

Hopefully the US/Canada border is open by then because I’m planning on spending a lot of money…

Left to right: Blue, bourbon, burgundy, brown and natty. I no longer have the blue and burgundy. Maybe some of these colors will be available in the trunk show.

Your shoes should be on display at the Met.

My friend for the football grain might I recommend vintage Florsheim Imperial 93602s? They have a classic pebble grain and are abundant on eBay for less than $100. I consider vintage Florsheim to be AE's dead uncle.

I would be all over a football leather MacNeil IF they do a FULL RUN of sizes/widths.
