I think I’m one of the main folks that provides AE-Carmina conversions (especially for D width) - feel free to PM me if I can help. I may have missed it on the Carmina thread, especially if it was one of the time periods where everyone was griping about QC and/or communications.

Short version: Simpson in 10E UK fits very similar to the 65 in 11D US.
It was probably about 2 years ago after I picked up my first Park Ave. I'll shoot you a PM about it anyway!

Yup. And Hermès Red by Saphir. Had since 2018. I know there’s a lot of Dainite hate, but they wear away so slowly.
Most of the shoes that I take to Mexico are Dainite or lug soles. The cobblestone is way too rough for leather and Lugs get you high enough that you hardly ever scuff the upper on rough cobblestone.

Interesting model!

I just wish the perforations didn't make it look like a bicycle toe.
You can say the 65 is wrong for wholecuts (that's a matter of opinion). You can say you don't like wholecuts (that's a matter of taste). You can call me a pretentious bloviating douchebag (that's a matter of fact).

But saying my shoes look like bicycle toes? Those are fighting words.

I can only post comments regarding how much I love your shoes. My current life journey requires me to wear sneakers and scrubs every damn day, so NO more dress shoes (for about a year)...
The ONLY time I can wear anything other than sneakers is for Daddy/Daughter date night (my favorite).

Here’s what you do:

You order a really big pair of sneakers... and wear them over your dress shoes.

You can thank me later.

Wearing tan suede Strandmok 0.0's again today because it was hot and I was going to be walking around outside for hours.

For fans of "A-E In The Wild" pictures, on Santa Monica Pier. That's Malibu way off to the the left behind me and Pacific Palisades way off to the the right behind me as well as what are called "South Facing Beaches" in the surf reports.

For fans of food pictures in shoe threads, a Chinese Chicken Salad and me at Bazille in Nordstrom Santa Monica.

For those clamoring for more pictures of Santa Monica Pier in shoe threads, California reopened today. Everything is now at 100% capacity again,"Social Distancing" is gone, and Fully Vaccinated people no longer have to wear face masks except in medical buildings, prisons, and homeless shelters.

One more Santa Monica Pier picture. This may be one of the very few police vehicles that has a surf board.

The yellow thing in the background lowers the Harbor Patrol boat into the water.

For fans of "Sci-Fi becomes Sci-Reality" pictures in shoe threads, the food delivery robots on the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica don't look anything like the robots in Sci-Fi or horror films.

Since I brought up robots, robots and I have a rather checkered past. In the early eighties, when I still worked on the train from time to time, made many trips to San Diego. One of the other guys and I always used to walk down to a shopping area by the water and have lunch.

One day we were sitting down eating our lunch and a lttle robot rolled up to us and started talking to us. I told the robot we were eating and didn't want to talk with it. The robot kept talking.

I told the robot if it didn't go away I would kick it over the edge into the water. For some reason the robot didn't believe me, so I kicked it over the edge into the water.

The little robot may still be there. A few minutes later someone came up and started yelling at us. We ignored him.
