Strandmok for sure, i prefer the more casual welt treatment on them over the more formal look of the Strand
Patton? I personally do not have any experience with shell, so question for the people with a closet full would there be any issue's with this being a shorter boot?
Higgin's Mill of course
I’d appreciate a good Shatton

What CURRENT styles are most appealing to you? What would you like to see in shell?

I'd love to get my hands on Strand or Strandmok in interesting shell colors (I've seen navy blue which look amazing). Both of those shoes can be dressed up or down and for me these days, that is the key to them being worn.

Unpopular answer... I think the current assortment is such that it's pretty hard to come up with something interesting to consider for shell. Maybe the grayson or as previously mentioned strand/strandmok.

As previously discussed, for a split toe the Walton would be super in shell. This is a pair below that was posted in the vintage thread yesterday by @wasmisterfu would also be a great shell makeup. These are on the 65 last.

Yeah, I sorta hate to go there but I think the best candidates for shell are models AE no longer makes like the Dundee, MacNeil, Sullivan, Bayfield, or a SWB.

Bradley, Polo/Shelton, and Grayson are still in production, right? The Heritage with a normal sole is basically a McAllister, right? A McAllister/Heritage could be a template for a shell or shell/linen or shell/suede spectator.

I think the bradley and shelton are NLA (maybe I am losing my mind). The McAllister is a good option as well but was done in the last shell run. The sullivan street is a no brainer. The bayfield cannot be done since the tooling is gone. The macneil is, of course, a great option.

@ae_ashley the Sullivan Street, while not in production, would be a a big winner in a trunk show. The shark/shell Landon's demonstrated the skill level is there. Put a pre-determined matching pebbled leather or suede for the shaft and option of shell color for the rest (Ideally choice of that color and leather type would be up to the customer, but I'm flexible!). Best of both worlds, its a semi-dress / semi-casual boot that is perfect for the new WFH mid to post-pandemic world.

If we're just tossing out suggestions for any shoe, I still hold that a spectator webgem or trunk show would get a huge buy-in. If they had brown/bone, black/white, maybe a dark brown/tobacco combination, I'd buy all three! Probably any other spectator fans would be in for at least 2 as well.
