Have any of you tried on the recent rendition of the Force 10 boat shoes? I tried some on today and they are 1000 percent better than the first iteration.
Hey @Shoenut can you elaborate on the improvements you noticed in the force 10? I was just recently admiring the brown cxl F-10 w red sole, and noticed they were offered in a B width now. I do love cxl, and wouldn't mind having a brown boat shoe. What is the improvement you mentioned? How do they fit vs your Maritimes? I have the navy cxl Maritime and really like it; although, even in a B width, it is pretty close to too wide for my skinny feets!I didn’t realize they had been revamped (slight pun intended). Any idea what is different?
I tried the original version, but it was too narrow in the toebox even though it was a EEE.
Now I’m gonna have to try them again. Thanks for the info!
Was it on special sale pricing? I also know that @savvysartorial loves a classic OCBD with good collar roll.
O'C Unlined & Unfused Oxford Cloth Button Down Shirt - Butter Yellow
Enjoy the soft roll that comes with this unlined and unfused collar. We've extended the lack of lining to the cuffs and placket, not an ounce of lining or fusing in this shirt. Perfectly worn casually or dressed up with oconnellsclothing.com
Awesome, thanks for the link! Sadly they don't have my size but those are beautiful.
An unlined collar is a must... the longer the collar, the better
Improvement 1. Shape. I think AE decided to shape it like footwear instead of a bag for the foot.Hey @Shoenut can you elaborate on the improvements you noticed in the force 10? Thank you sir. You just sold a boat shoe!Improvement 1. Shape. I think AE decided to shape it like footwear instead of a bag for the foot.
Improvement 2. Foot bed insert is not inches of gel pad. It is a more manageable size. It will help with toe box issues.
Improvement3. Leather quality.
They do fit a lot tighter than a Maritime. This might be your new boat shoe.
Sizing enquiry:
Hi guys, thought you'd be the best people on the internet to ask this.
I'm a European looking to try a pair of AE. I wear a size 11G UK (wide) in Loake - would 11.5EEE in AE be similar? Or even 11.5EE?
Hello: is there a list of AE model numbers corresponding to names? I have a pair from the "Hand Crafted World of AE" era numbered 62916 on the inside. They were sold to me as Macneils, if I remember right. View attachment 1591476
Calfskin. I agree, the color is nice looking. Looks even better outdoors in natural light. Not sure which variation of red it is. I wish I knew more about AE in general; that's kind of a gap in my shoe knowledge. This oxblood? I really like this red; it has eye appeal! This shell or calf skin?
