I think his concern is that the boots he posted are navy shell Landons, so basically sole and shaft would be the only variance.Navy. Hear me out: there are TONS of burgundy options. And realistically, you can get a burgundy shell boot from lots of other makers. Navy shell, not so much.

I like topys.How do we feel about Topys on boots? I have Higgins in cordovan on a single leather sole. I actually really like how they feel on foot but I live in the Chicago area so our weather isn’t the greatest.
is there any potential downside to getting a topy added?
I’m leaning towards just wearing and enjoying them as is until needing a resole to change, but there is no shortage of cobbles in the area.
