Greetings, fellow enthusiasts. This might come as a surprise, but I’m wearing these Brave Stars again. OG Higgins Mills carrying me into the weekend.

So the more I look at it, the better the Landon boot looks to me. My question is how does the 2622 last fit? I have no experience with it.

Of course I’d prefer the boot in a different leather. I’d like to see one in snuff suede, Dublin or CXL.

Have a good weekend!

i find it generous. For me, and I have the same toe poke, I take the same size as my Higgins. Except they’re a little roomier near that spot

They also feel like the Normandy but not quite as tight across the bottom of the laces on the instep

Take the 201, a bit less pointy toe, and add a bit more vertical space in vamp/toe box. At least that's how it feels to me!

Thank you.

Damn the toe poke. I have to actually like it or else I wouldn’t be able to stand what it does to the shoes. And the dimensions of my feet are such that I haven’t found a size alternative that reliably addresses the issue without making other, worse issues. Therefore I must confine myself to a small list of lasts that get me somewhat close.

In the “combination last” notation, I probably need an 8.5 b/e to get me a better fit and less deformed shoe.

Thank you! Sounds like it might be a contender.

You know what would be awesome? A football grain HM. I know I've seen @mreams99 post about, but I want to jump on the bandwagon too. Who's with me??
Yes. That would be incredible.

I am hoping that this Landon GMTO is successful so that it makes a football grain HM more likely to happen. I also think that a lower priced boot made of football leather would sell better than the expensive shark/shell combo.

i don’t know if you’ve tried them, but the Leeds is the shoe that truly fits me well. Almost everything else is a compromise of some sort

My Club Monaco milkshake suede Leeds do fit rather well and will not be considered for sale. When I was browsing the AE site the other day I was glad to see they’ve made a return. They even look pretty good in that Cigar color.

One of you really should buy these. I hope this goes without saying ... but this is not my listing

I really wish these were Strands just so I could see @BFT9000 agonize over passing on a 1 of 1 example

There's a lot going on in that photo...

i have the cigar, it’s a great color.

still beating up my Quoddys also. I haven’t treated them well and they just take it, even with using them year round in our crap weather
