Who wants brass?
Make your voice be heard.

Yeah, even though I’m using all the foot bed it still feels large. A lot of volume. You're flat footed, so I think it’ll feel odd. You might get lucky going down half a length? Taper is less aggressive
No size 12.5 either! Which is OK. I have plenty of things in the closet that do fit great.

It works in shell for me on the first Ave. it’s not about actually stretching the leather, but the default slightly wider closure at the bottom of the cone vs the tighter Oxford. My foot can slide in with my orthotic, and the shoe has enough room to accommodate. On the Oxford, there is no flexibility in that part of the shoe because the camp has fixed width
Ok. Misunderstood your comment. I thought you were going smaller and stretching, not just comparing closed/open lacing

If you aren't participating in the GMTO then please don't vote. I'm looking to buy these and I don't want you people ******* up my specs. This isn't a trunk show and we need serious votes only.

That said I vote for black hardware.

I think that the black shark looks good with either brass or black hardware.

I put the question up for the group, and I’ll be happy either way it goes. I’m not even going to “vote” on this question.

Will the “brass” or “black” finish come off? That probably would sway my thought
As it wear? Eventually yes. Just look at an existing pair you have with hardware. If one bothered you enough, you could always have a cobbler swap. The Alden guys do it all the time.

Happy Friday friends!

I've posted these several times but I keep reaching for them, especially on Fridays. They must be happy boots. Snuff Pattons:

I'm enjoying the watch pics on here recently. My family has worn Longines for 4 generations, one of my favorites and certainly an interesting manufacturer. I've had this one for 12-13 years now. A huge 47.5mm, just as specified by Mr. Lindbergh himself.
