The heel on my left boot is off a little and makes it feel a little weird. The right boot fits like a glove. All weekend I was walking around thinking man if the left boot would fit like the right one I'd be in boot heaven.
I understand, and can agree with you. My pair, while fit is ok, the quality that I expected is just not there. I'm keeping them, but relegating to yard work, dog poop pick up, that type of thing....and I have 30 yr old PA's that I won't wear short of a tux they are that good. QC has seemed to have gone downhill a bit...

And I thought they were just MEH......nothing to write home about, ok boots, ok leather, but not as well done NST as a couple of other companies, although significantly less expensive. I wear mine to mow the lawn type of thing.
For $105 they should be good lawn mowin’ boots!
Landon two-tone boot in chili/brown - has anyone tried it or seen it IRL? Hard to tell from the official photos if it's cool or tacky... opinions welcome!

So I tried on the Discovery Derby the other day. My thoughts are as follows:
The 2622 last feels like a under formed silhouette. It is sorta shaped like a foot. It is more like a bag shaped leather upper sewn to a non leather insole. The toe counter is biodegradable. Not sure that this was a shoe concern. The outsole is the XL recycled content sole. You can see the air pockets on the side profile. At least this shoe shoes me exactly why I do not like squishy soles. I am extremely bow legged and my knees actually twist a bit when I stand straight. This puts a lot of downward pressure on my heels while almost no pressure on the balls of my feet. When I stand up, I get the feeling like I am falling back. Anyway that is my problem. The suede is chrome and metal free, while smooth leather is all veg tanned. Therefore the suede does not have that soft velvet feel that chrome brings. Now, if you want a lightweight shoe that can accommodate mid day foot swelling. Then this may be a casual for you. As long as your feet support your body evenly.

Hi all! I wasn't originally planning on mentioning anything, but I've gotten a few messages that I had had to let lapse a little longer than you're probably used to, so I wanted to let you guys know I was recently tested positive for Covid. I've been quarantining at home, and I still have access to email but I'm probably going to be out of office for a bit. If you have questions about the trunk show, feel free to email and I'll get back to you as soon as possible, but actual inquiries regarding status of your orders should probably go through a store for now. Feel free to call my store if you didn't work with one.

And everyone knows how to tell an extroverted iT guy, from an introverted IT guy, right? The extrovert looks at YOUR shoes when he is talking to you, introvert looks at HIS shoes when talking to you.... (I can get away with this joke as I spent a career in IT related things)
Ha! Engineer’s use the same joke and it is very true...and yes, I can say it since I am one :) The best part is when we/they lose their sh!t the first time they hear it cause we/they know it’s true!

Oh my! Get well soon! I’ve been there, done that earlier this summer. Rough couple of weeks but it gets better. Take care!

Sorry to hear that. Hope you get through it quickly!

Hmm. I am an introvert engineer. Professionally, I prefer to just quietly listen until it becomes time for me to assert dominance; I am definitely not looking at either pair of shoes at that point!
