This doesn't necessarily belong here, but what the heck.

In my continuing effort to do my part to help the American shoe manufacturers this year (and not get bitten by snakes), I received a new pair of Russell Moccasin snake boots today. Russell Moccasin is an old shoe manufacturer in Wisconsin specializing in hunting boots and moccasins. Everything is hand made. Most boots are custom made to your specific feet.

yes, not sure if the store is still open, and I'm sure you weren't really going to go there. lol

I enjoy stomping around the Quarter, need to get back down there now that we moved back to the states. I could go for a hot do at Dat Dogs!

"Mama, that's shell but Not turtle shell, right??" ? "That's correct, dear, and obviously this funny but cruel man doesn't know we are turtles of the Snapping variety." ?"Right. You hear that mister?! You show 'im, mom!". ?"I would, dear, but I kind of like it here". ☺

Those won't be quick and easy to put on or take off, will they?

Happy Wingtip Wednesday!

A nice pair to break in today, my last McAllister from the TS. This pair of DMC is a bit more subtle than some I've seen on here, in muted indoor lighting it almost looks like espresso shell. Direct natural lighting brings out the marbled effect.

Couldn't be more happy with my TS shoes this fall!

In idle curiosity, what are the length of those laces?

These are actually zip-side boots with a 15" long zipper. The laces are meant to adjust the fit to your leg/foot. You lace them once to fit and then you use the zipper to put them on and take them off.

I don't have the energy to completely unlace to measure the laces. Let's call it about a quarter-mile long.

To get back to the topic at hand, here are another pair of work boots - AE Longbranch.
