I sometimes regret not getting Daltons in shaved shell. I thought about it for a looooong time, before placing my order for Bourbon, too.

It appeared that we were all having an intelligent discussion with differing viewpoints until you started to make it personal with others, and now me in your latest response, because people do not necessarily agree with your viewpoint. If you want to continue with this childish behavior I will not be a part of it but if you can be part of the discussion without making it personal, or slinging personal attacks, I will be happy to engage going forward.

And as for your assumption about me, you know what they say about assumptions: It makes an a$$ out of you (but not me). I try to minimize personal information on public forums but I will share that I have never worked for a technology company such as Apple, Facebook, Google, etc. and I am not a billionaire (or even hundred millionaire). I have worked in corporate roles at advertising and new media companies as well as k-12 schools and institutions of higher education over a career that spans 25+ years.

Just fyi, it's a hair tacky to brag about your $99m net worth while talking with the rest of us SF pleebs.

Sorry, born, raised, and lived most of my life in 10021 so Yankees and Giants (with a side of Syracuse Basketball and Football because BA, MS, and met my wife there).

Just fyi, it's a hair tacky to brag about your $99m net worth while talking with the rest of us SF pleebs.

I am going to assume this is a joke and my comments were taken out of context because I do not have anywhere near that much. And for a person who works in tech I have a terrible history of picking tech stocks:

• In 1996 when Apple was basically bankrupt and the stock in the toilet, I choose to not buy any.
• When my brother-in-law, a financial analyst, asked me about Cisco in the early 90s, I said not really because all the advertising and new media companies I knew in NYC were using Bay Networks equipment. In 2020, has anyone heard of Bay Networks and how many have heard of Cisco?
• Or how about purchasing Microsoft after it already became a boring stable blue chip stock.

My point is, I work in the technology field but have never worked at one of the big west coast technology companies. And I made my "money" the old fashion way, buy and hold investing in 100% stocks over a very long period (so far more than 25 years). And it helps that my wife and I are DINKs.

I have the shell ones and the beds feel a little on the cushy side, so I’m going to say yes. I actually really like them!

Good thing you arent a finance guy! If it makes you feel any better, i had a blast trading all the cannabis stocks last year. Held onto my favorite of them, which was Canntrust. Look it up if you arent familiar with how that one worked out. Hint, it's on the big BIG oops list.

Good thing you arent a finance guy! If it makes you feel any better, i had a blast trading all the cannabis stocks last year. Held onto my favorite of them, which was Canntrust. Look it up if you arent familiar with how that one worked out. Hint, it's on the big BIG oops list.

I can top that, I purchased Global Village in the early 90s when they had the contract with Apple for modems that were installed in the original PowerBooks. I made a fortune until I didn't. Watched the stock rise from $2 to over $25 but was not paying attention when the CEO got hit with a sexual harassment suit and then the company went under not the long after.

I stopped picking stocks in the 90s and have only invested in high quality and high risk mutual funds which have paid off handsomely over the past 25 years (even considering all the ups and downs of the market).

Yah the irony of canntrust, not to delve deeper into more random side convos, is that i have a relatively deep knowledge of this industry and viewed legal/compliance as among the most critical factors in investing (ie. This is an even more sketchy industry than most would assume...). Despite that... i managed to conclude that this was a strength for canntrust based upon several factors that turned out to be slightly off base (also known as, completely wrong).

The average good investor is right only a bit more than 50% of the time. Risk management and knowing when to fold em is the key. Ie. Dont marry your stocks.
