Going negative might make the PA easier to see.I bought a couple pairs through the RDA sale and was hoping I could get some opinions on the quality, as I'm not sure what I should expect. They are all 1st quality and it kind of bothers me that they aren't perfectly symmetrical.
The park ave's I got have an uneven cap toe. The one on the right actually looks shorter, but it actually might be longer because the shoe seems a little longer.

I also got a pair of Strands with the combination tap sole and it has a similar issue, the cap toe line seems to be uneven. Additionally, the left shoe leans naturally to the left, making it seem like the heel is larger. However, when I push the shoe down, it leans to the right making the heel even.

Black shell Macs for 3 bills? Fantastic bargain! You win the AEAT thread for this week.I've posted before that I only have one pair of black shoes, and I've only worn them a dozen or so times (funerals). Just not a fan of black, and my life working for a west coast technology company is so informal that I barely NEED more than flip flops (which our C-levels have been spotted in).
But who says no to shell at $300? A few very minor issues on these F2 MacNeils, I had most of them sorted by the time I got up and flipped the first album of "Sinatra at the Sands". I'll soon be back at a single pair of black shoes, and while I doubt I'll wear them any more often they will certainly be much nicer when I do.

Maybe, but that is months down the line. If you are experiencing two different rest positions as you stand in that shoe, there is a pretty good chance it will annoy you eventually, if it doesn't now. New shoes are not supposed to do that. Your call of course. Strands and PAs are AE's two best remaining oxfords, imho. When they are right they are stellar. Thanks for the advice! I do notice it a little in the heel when I walk in the strands.. So, the shoe wouldn't mold more towards the right as you break them in?
Oh, you Bastards! I was going online to look at those and ended buying a Shell shoe. Back to the website now. ?Who wore it best?

Higgins

Man, an iPhone really is a pain at times with anything flesh colored. Just so much auto softening that it is nearly impossible to get these boots to show how they actually look.
I think I’m going to see how these new Higgins in color 8 cxl-ish (according to Ashley) with the lug sole are. I have been on a burgundy quest as of late for some reason.

And by deciding/accepting that you are not cool, means you are more cool than the rest! Party ON!Great shoes, congrats.
LWB can be used with suits or in more casual ways. I use my black LWB with jeans and I don't care how my friends or coworkers feel if I am the best shoed man in the party. I don't feel the need to blend. A great Rush song says:
Subdivisions
In the high school halls
In the shopping malls
Conform or be cast out
Subdivisions
In the basement bars
In the backs of cars
Be cool or be cast out
I decided / accepted that I am not cool.
Damn. Love the Navi

But you CAN'T confine a shoe that nice to Funeral Duty! Never mind business suits, don't you wear navy or gray worsted trousers from time to time? Those Macs will just glow under navy or gray, throw a sweater on top if you don't like sport coats, and walk like a giant. Hell, some guys here would wear those black gun boats with selvedge denim.
Great shoes, congrats.
