No worries. They are beautiful shoes and I will enjoy them. Having to work through multiple calls, and multiple people or internet forum members in lieu of primary customer service is just too much for me on this one. I don’t want my shoes to be that tiresome of a process. I will enjoy them and adjust accordingly in the future. Count me as a happy, satisfied, although not delighted, customer.
ahhh, but the thing is you should be happy satisfied AND delighted .zWe, as consumers, shouldn't settle for less than we ordered. It's a principle thing, Ashley will make it right for you, but the thing is, she shouldn't have to.

Re-do isn't acceptable, get it right or don't charge. Frankly there is no excuse for not getting it right in the first place. imagine if (whatever business you are in) didn't get the order right....
Haha I’m an English teacher—no one gets it right the first time. (I should have been a plumber, though, because the wax ring on my toilet just failed—should I throw on the Indys or Higgins Mills tomorrow when I re-seat the throne?)

Sporting the Macks again today:

Ok' this is going to sound weird, but to varying degrees, I am noticing in posted pics that for most v's that vary within a pair, it is the left-footed one that tends to be greater. Again, at least from what I've observed. Perhaps odder still, starting out with AE only just last Feb/Mar it was my right (which is larger) but now is my left (with the higher instep) that produces the larger "v".

Does anyone know if AE is currently using full stacked leather JR heels and leather heel/toe counters on their shell cordovan shoes?

I think pretty much everybody's feet are different sizes, in one dimension or another; in my case, my right foot is longer, but my left foot has a higher instep (one of them is wider, too, but I can't remember which at the moment).
