All too frequently I look these over and something is my subconscious says "you can't wear those...those are your _special_ boots", and for some reason I listen. Well, today I grabbed them and the three of us had a good time (me, horsehair brush and Antique Cherry Shell).

Maybe I'll wear them tomorrow also to show my subconscious who is really in charge....

This raises a question that I have wondered about.

Should people put shoe trees in unworn shoes they are storing indefinitely?

seems to me it would be better to store unworn shoes without trees

Why would it be better without? Because the leather can breathe better?

I guess it would really come down to your storage methods. If nothing else, the trees keep the shoes from being flattened or shrinking/curling from further drying out.

Decided to go au naturale today with these Natty CXL Academies. While part of me will always wish I'd picked up a Natty HM when it was available, these are a pretty good second-place trophy. Well, they are until I decide to eventually pull the trigger on a pair of Natty Pattons.
