Lol. Good for you! I actually have marveled at the condition of some of the pre-owns I've procured. Nice to hear you are off to a satisfying start! Enjoy.
Yes Sir. We have the same taste in shoes! It's the AE Sanford. I also received these today from ebay. My first ebay purchase and my first pre-owned pair of shoes. A little polish and I'm completely satisfied.
I'm sorry yours smelled like my ex-boss.

I think at that point it is best to invest in new shoes.

I have some B's that I would love widened to C's or D's. But as the problem is the construction of the footbed. You run into issues with amount of leather and the gemming.

I follow Bedo's on Instagram and he is teasing a YouTube video where he widens a pair of vintage Florsheim Imperial cordovans. Unless the shoe is pretty special the price is not worth it.

I’ve been working from home for months now. The only time I’ve worn sneakers is when I lace up a pair of running shoes and go out for a few miles.
Why don’t they market how certain shoes can be paired with denim and casual chinos for “work from home?”

because wearing shoes at home makes the house dirty?

It’s not really a question of new vs used for me. I’m asking because that guy is selling 12D natural shell Cornwallis. I’m 12B and natural shell Cornwallis is a grail shoe for me but is otherwise unobtainable.

Anyway, one of you lucky 12D bastards should buy those shoes before someone does something stupid.
And by “someone” I mean me and by “something stupid” I mean buy a $400 dollar pair of shoes that don’t fit so I can spend $600+ for a recraft

Keep chasing that grail. When you finally get it, it will be even more satisfying.

Or buy really thick socks!

Good luck!

Hey guys! Friendly reminder that all sneaks are 25% off until EOD Sunday. Mr. ae_ashley loves his! That discount DOES work on sale and clearance sneakers.

I've come to realize that we're likely to see even more AE sneakers being made in the future. With all these jobs being done from home, a lot of people will be looking at more casual options. I hope I'm wrong, but I think this is how things will continue.
I wear em on Fridays. Not always but I like them. My spreadsheet is littered with red telling me I haven't worn things. Lately my chili leiden weaves and black rutledge have been getting more wears along with a pair of indy boots. Boring, I know.

Brown shell strands today

These have a scuff on the heel from an unfortunate encounter with the face of a stair. Is cordovan creme the remedy for this or do I need to break out the deer bone first then cordovan creme?

I tell ya, concrete staircases are dangerous for large feet. I have at least 2 other pairs of shell with similar scuffs

That could be hidden color-wise with cream, possibly even just spreading the color with some bick4, but will require a bit of boning to smooth out the leather again. My brown shell Strands were damaged by a pallet, but you can't tell now...
