If that ever happens, you're going to see me go off the deep end.
Luckily, in a move to leverage their heritage, they will immediately release the Boulevard last, which is the 5's original name. So, though you may lose the single digit last shorthand, you won't miss out on the fit!

That made me laugh but thanks man, I’m very grateful to have the couple of watches that I have, though this is the last one for a while! Growing up I watched my blue collar father put on his (preowned) Rolex Datejust every morning and wear it from sun up to sun down. He still has that watch and I don’t ever want the day to come that it will be mine, so I had to go out and buy my own! Now when I slip mine on every morning it reminds me to go out and make him proud. Because I live thousands of miles from him I only get to see him once a year, but there’s something about having a Rolex on my wrist that makes me feel like he’s nearby. So yeah, they’re more than just watches to me! :)

You are welcome :p always keeping it light!

That's an awesome story and part of why I love watches so much as well. Really cool that you have a purpose to/for it. My father has a few (no longer wears them, I wish he would) and I love watches - mainly Rolex, but I don't discriminate.

A watch can be many things beyond just a tool to tell time. It's hard to convince some people that it's more than just an expensive fashion piece, but to those who are in the know, we understand 100%. It's akin to people who can't fathom Goodyear welted shoes and the price/longevity that come with them.

I hope you get to see your father again soon! Life is too short to have regrets; I too rue the day the day when I cannot call up mom and dad and hear their voices.

Very cool, I can’t wait. Price and size is right!
Found mine. I have the natural veg tan with 12 cards, though wouldn't go more than that. Here's new & after 3 years.
