Such a shame they only offer this beautiful leather on the 5th Ave.
You know Mahogany started on the Street shoes. Went to 5A when that line was decided to be discontinued. I am sure if it sells well on the 5A, it will be offered on the Strand and PA sometime in the future.

To be fair though, I don't think it was the same leather. That stuff they used on the Bond Street was something different. I'm not really sure what kind of leather it was.

If you cannot sell this color on the 5A. You cannot sell this color.

I guess mahogany is the closest thing to Dark Brown AE has. I’ve always thought a dark brown punch cap (E.g. Fifth Ave) is the perfect alternate suit shoe once you have a black stitch cap (E.g. PA). So it ought to do well.

except, COVID ... I’ve worn a suit twice since early March.

It was different types of PC. They did a really good job of getting the color of Mahogany on all types of leather.

Walnut MacKenzies today:

(Now that these have been discontinued, I can't look them up on AE any more, and I can't remember whether the "k" is capitalized or not. But I don't feel like taking one off to check...)

I really hope we get asked at a restaurant if we have a seating preference. I've been waiting for an opportunity to use a line from this show since it first aired in 1999.
