I did some more investigating on the insoles and outsoles, and I now believe these were likely made in 2006 or around that time. I had a pair of Niles cap toes that had the exact same kind of insole and outsole as yours, and those look like they came out around 2006. I now think those white insoles came out before the black insoles in 2008/9.

I'm working outside today, wearing my AE thongs.

@backofthenet Sometime between 2008 and 2012 (during the last housing crash), but not sure when. I have a pair of Delray's with the same insole and stamp on the lining. Those were made after the time AE were including dates, but I think before they started using the infamous black insoles.

I believe black insoles were introduced Spring 2008 and they disappeared for new production Fall 2011.

I think you're correct, and I made a previous error by stating the white insoles came after the black ones.

Spent some time this weekend conditioning a few wallets.

For fans of "A-E In The Wild" pictures, all of the shops on Rodeo Drive (and everywhere else) in Beverly Hills are still closed, although a few shops have recently started offering curb side pick up.

Swanned around there for a few hours today. Didn't see any curb side pick ups happening nor did I see many people.

A recent post on the Ivy Style blog was a link to an article in "The Rake" about how the older type of Madras fades and as a result older Madras jackets are darker under the collar and lapels.

Nice work! Which cream did you use to replicate the copper effect? Got a pair of burnished copper Strand weaves that I'd like to maintain that way. Mix between two kinds?
