Wearing Rust Stinger Beckleys and waiting in line at Trader Joe's.

No "A-E In The Wild" picture today. To make up for the lack of an "A-E In The Wild" picture, a picture of people unclear on the concept of standing in line 6 feet apart, even though there are pieces of yellow tape on the ground spaced 6 feet apart.

At least it wasn't raining any more.

On the non shoe related subject many are talking about, two charts from the UCLA Health COVID-19 website.

Since I didn't go to Medical School not sure what this all means, other than it looks like around 10% (or less) of the people who test Positive need to be hospitalized and around 10% (or less) of all the people with symptoms UCLA doctors order tests for test Positive.

Funny how fast people forget about the 6 foot rule...
Shop Rite has prime rib on sale for $4.99 per lbs this week. Down from $9.99. When you get to the cooler people were nudging each other out of the way to get their mitts on the best hunk they could find! Then back to the 6 foot rule at the register. I found it hilarious!!!!!

For all practical purposes, essentially the same. If I’m being very critical, it has a smidge more volume than my calf 65’s. V gap closes a little more/easier.
Thanks! How does the sole compare to “real” Dainite?

Thanks! I love them! They’re a little lighter in blue, little more sky, than in the photo. My collection has gotten to the point where I’m looking for things more like this, on the casual end of things. Very happy :)

Since these are lined is it safe to assume I should go with my 65 last size as opposed to the unlined Strandmok which I have been able to wear a more narrow size (8E in the Strandmok vs 8EEE in the PA and Strand)

Wildly different fit. Cant even begin to compare that. Would not recommend even for dirt cheap - there are just much better options out there.

Bedo's newest video is a spade sole on a pair of Strands for Preston (The Elegant Oxford), compete with change to 270 welt. Plus, an intermission...
@smfdoc, myself, and some others on the vintage thread considered doing a pair of spade soles since our sizes are quite rare in original pairs.

Thanks for the useful input! What might you recommend at a lower price point for a driver or loafer available in EEE width?
