I love, love, love my pair. SUPER soft and comfortable. Much more so than the construction used in the last TS. Too bad they are no longer available.

The lunch DoorDasher eyed me strangely, but frankly, what happens during quarantine stays in quarantine. Why waste all this free time when I can prepare for this Fall's renaissance fair?



Color 8? Maybe it's the lighting, but it looks very purple!

Yessir! Color 8! Alden's 9854 model courtesy of Alden Madison. When I couldn't get AE's Strand in shell a while back, I had to look elsewhere to fulfill my desires...

Color 8 can look very purple in certain lights!

There have been quite a few people showing off the epic-ness of their shoe shines lately, so in appreciation for Allen Edmonds using their factory for creating PPE, I polished up these Weybridges and took some pretty pictures.

Anyone with a slightly low instep and low volume have sizing experience with the Grayson?

I think my best bet is to wait til AE stores reopen but figured I would ask. I purchased an almost new pair on eBay cheap while following the AE last guides I've seen. So I went from 9.5D brannock to 9.5C on the Grayson. With DT crew lights it feels like it's probably a full size too big. I am guessing an 8.5D would work well. A bit surprised since the last guides seemed to indicate tts or down one width works for most.

I have a new Fifth Avenue in dark chili coming tomorrow. Hoping the 9E works. Unlike the eBay purchase at least this would be an easy exchange/return. While they are completely different lasts it's got me a bit worried that maybe I should have gone with 9D or 8.5E. My only previous AE last experience was with the Dalton which seemed fine tts.

I am very careful to take extremely good care of my investments, and I'm seeing these discorolations/spots that are a bit disheartening. Advice on how to fix?

On the photo, notice 3 areas. First is the obvious spot in the middle. Can't for the life of me figuring out how it got there or what it is. Rubbing my finger across, it's not gouged, but just discolored.

Second and third are discolored blotches around the 1st 3rd and last 3rd of the band.

Noticed all these issues as I was trying to polish up the toe cap, but my skill has a long way to go.

It looks like the burnishing was stripped in those areas. What are you using to polish?

9.5D. Same as my brannock. That's why I mentioned it fitting true to size.
