Just took delivery of these Walnut Jefferson 2.0. Really liking the 201 last and this upgraded leather is like butter! I wear a 12EE in 65 last and tried the 12E in the 201 since there is more toe room -- the fit is perfect.

Alright, I received the fairgates yesterday and they are better than I thought. I don’t know too much about AE as I’ve only owned two pairs. Maybe one of you could kindly tell me about when these were in production or maybe when these might have been made. Maybe some of you have seen these on eBay. I priced them at what I think is too high hoping no one would buy before I had them in my possession. NOS. Super nice find and shoe. Not sure when it was made, but it appeared in the catalog in 1999. A Fairgate was my first shell. I should have known something was up because it was given to me for free by a guy on a playground. That sunk the shell hook pretty deep.

That’s so cool. You added eyelets and stripped the black edging? I wonder how long it lasted. It’s clearly an old military officer style shoe.
