Brown Bartlett today. I absolutely love this leather and lining. So soft.

Great stuff, thanks! Very glad I went true to size in that case (not like I had a choice). Got them for $178 with barely scuffed leather soles off grailed. Wish they were dainite, but I can’t be too picky. If you happen to have any pics I would love to see how they’ve aged - but again, thanks for the excellent info.

Overall I’m blown away at the slim pickings for a slimmer lasted snuff suede chukka in the sub-$400 range. My opinions came down to Carmina, Meermin, and Spier & Mackay - having no experience with all of those and having numerous AE shoes I have high hopes for these. I know Alden was in the $550ish range but that’s just too much for my taste.

I hope you like them, I’ve gotten quite a bit of use out of them. And while I say TTS, most could probably get away with going a bit longer since they are quite narrow. They’ve aged nicely, and the soles have held up well. I haven’t treated these gently at all.

These look great. They're on my list for future TS.

These were a last-minute TS19.1 order, and I am very glad I made that call! I took a risk on sizing, and it worked out. Burgundy is really overlooked. Chili is an amazing color, but I think people do overlook burgundy's ability to create variation.

Looking good. I am envious of the olive mercer. I tried to hunt done a B width for a long time now. Even asked for assistance but came up empty. I think the mercer is on a last that isn't documented. How would you describe the heel, toe and cone height?
I've only had a couple minutes in them I'll need a few days to give a good assessment. I will say the cone seems very generous. I have a high instep and things like the Randolph just won't work for me, painful as soon as I try them on. The Sea Island is borderline on cone height but it stretches enough to make it comfortable. I have the Macrae as well and the cone is decent but I can feel it at the end of the day. From this test fit I'd say the cone is great, I felt no pressure, heel is on the average side not narrow or wide. The width even for a EEE is less than I'd like but that may also have to do with me sizing down a half size to prevent heel slip. I wear thin socks with loafers and they will stretch some.

I do really like the dark olive suede, I was not enamored by the Mercer in leather when I looked at them but this very fine nap suede or maybe its' nubuck is very appealing.

Just got an email from AE about seconds. I just bought Mercer Streets firsts for under $120 and now there is a sale of seconds for $150...And seconds were $129 a day ago which you could have gotten 25% off of. You puzzle me AE.
