Highly considering the Mercer loafer in olive suede and the brown suede belt; plus a couple of shoe care things for sub $150.

My question: what can I pair the olive suede with? Does anyone how the Mercer loafer fits? Thanks!
Brown belt would be great, as the welt is brown. Olive reads brownish anyway, and any brown can match to brown.

Really, you could get away with 3 belts (I generally go for 4): black for blacks, dark brown for browns and burgundy, light brown/tan for light colors, (burgundy as fourth if you must).

Alternatively to matching welt color to belt, you can match or contrast pants. Ignoring black, if dark colored pants (charcoal, navy, dark brown, etc) you can wear a dark brown belt to slim/make look taller by not splitting up your torso. You can also use this technique to emphase another part of your outfit like a light tan pair. Wear a tan belt with lighter colors for similar effect. If you want your belt to be the focal point, wear a tan belt with navy, etc.
That olive Mercer can pair with browns very easily. Light colored linens in the warmer weather. Heavy textures in the cold. The fit is like a slightly generous 65 last.
Hmm. I would have expected similar to the Randolph (78 to 79)

Snuff or Chocolate in a MacNeil. It is a suede season at AE. You could still pick up a Suede Strand or Boot if you want to add after the TS.

Macs or Hamiltons seem like the go-to choice for this show if you're collecting items on the rare side. Plymouths, as well, but I know monks are risque to many.

Normally, I wouldn't wear the same shoes on consecutive days. But you know, olive. Olive! And the most comfortable standard leather insole I've ever had. If all my AE shoes had this kind of soft insole, I wouldn't even need poron.

2020 is the year AE acts like we all have ~$4000 discretionary budgets just for shoes, and we're only in Q1!

Scuff, as in color change or gouge? If just color change, take a spit finger and rub affected area. Or you can use some conditioner.
If gouge, get some extra conditioner and rub with the bone a bit more. I promise it will basically go away.

I'd describe it as a scrape. Very surface level, but not a visible indent as I would describe a gouge.

I will hit it with a neutral cream and more boning this weekend.

He should be counting his lucky stars his pair isn't EEE if he's worried about them looking bulbous! :p

You mean all shoes don't look like that??

Yesterday was the third consecutive day of the temps in my office being in the mid50’s due to the furnace failing. So space heaters and non-SF approved baggy LL Bean flannel lined jeans were the order of the day.

I know you’re thinking, “hey, aren’t those Wolverine x AE boots a poor choice since they are unlined shell? Weren’t your toes a little cold?”

Well, in retrospect, maybe. But, ... unlined shell.
