These are the Leffot makeup. If I didn't already have this shoe, I would bite on Leffot's new makeup in the same style (linked below). Color 8 and black shell.... It's hot in here!! :stirpot:

I think AoC might have done a makeup like this. You're right, maybe not a full run type of thing. I do wish certain AE stores had the ability to do what Alden does and run small batches of shoes (MTO). I guess in its place we get trunk shows which are a good alternative.

Heck, even the AE Polo model in regular runs would be amazing! Alden runs the 994 and 993 (color 8 and black shell) in regular stock. A lot of the shell shoes aren't even premade, so it doesn't seem like much of a loss for AE to pull and produce models like this since stock isn't just chilling on the shelf.

Just thoughts from a crazed fan.
I like the suede and alpine grain variations, I don't even need it to be shell. As for TS20.1(s) I'm pretty excited about liverpools. I am not sure about the burgundy suede. I keep flipping between awesome or something that would require pimp cane. With JR soles eliminated, I'm torn between v-tread and butyl. I will definitely get sand liverpools, question is do I also get snuff. Then there is that chocolate carlyle that I also really want. Is there a makeup that is MUST BUY that I'm missing? I'm sure there is and I am not visualizing it at the moment.

AE Shell-ton 2.0s from the 2017 "any style in shell" offer... those were the days...

You’re trying to decide between awesome or pimp cane, but can’t it be both?

Not one to read these sorts of things generally but happened to catch this on Bloomberg news. Couldnt help but think AE is starting to push sneakers and such just as the fashion world is primed to move back to dress shoes.

Even John Lobb is selling sneakers, but they are upwards of $600 or more. I would much rather see sneakers remain for casual wear, but that's just my opinion.

I'm just trying to get better selections for my next round of AE surveys. All I ever get asked about is sneakers that I'm not going to buy. :hide:

Amongst the many Trunk Show posts there have also been posts about "Picard" (Starfleet Academy Class Of 2327) and about saddle shoes.

Here's a picture wearing A-E Oakmont saddle shoes with Starfleet Academy in the background.

Starfleet Acaemy is actually a sewage treatment plant that sits in the middle of a lake of partially treated sewage.

You can walk up a lot of stairs and then walk on an elevated viewing platform across all the sewage treatment processes and watch videos explaining what's going on.

Here's the sign by the front gate.

Live long and prosper.

(Only in the San Fernando Valley where there is hardly anything to do or to see would a sewage disposal plant be a tourist attraction. Busch Gardens was better and there was beer for those who wanted beer.)

I bought a good looking pair of Dark Chili McTavish (which only comes in D or EEE). Unfortunately they were way too wide. BUT, I found a pair of MacNeil Shell Cordovan in my size and they were half price! So, I exchanged the McTavish and got the MacNeil Shell. Can’t wait till they come in! Since the MacNeil is discontinued, there are some deals to be made!
