Happy Friday, gents! Saddled up for the weekend on this rainy and foggy Friday. Leffot color 8 saddles.

ADD: I do REALLY wish AE would bring back a saddle, especially in two tone. A shell and suede saddle like Alden has done before would really be spectacular.

Are those the ones AoC had? I've looked for a anyone even just doing a two tone of any time a while back and didn't see any current runs. Would be cool but its definitely something that would be a webgem type of thing. Cannot imagine it being a model that will sell much beyond that.
Yes, that is Loden, like an Escher painting, you can't see it until you do.

I will see if I can take better photos today.

Are Bradleys discontinued altogether now? Searched on main site...nada.

Did anyone do a blue shell Bradley in TS2017 or earlier that they could share pics? Just to crush my dreams, please?
Sorry only garnet... Navy would be cool!
If neither isn't an option, then the one on the left.

I fit the McNeil in my 511 and 65 last. It was slightly tight on the pinky, but I am not super concerned there--not nearly the tightness of the 1943.
Thanks. That helps me feel good about jumping in blind with an order.

And since we seem to be a visual crew, today’s choice was one of my aforementioned HM. Along with some office carpet.

Can someone post pics of what the various sole/stack/edging options are? Some terms being thrown around that I am not familiar with.

Would love to see more photos of the suede colors, up closer. Especially the navy, choco and gray (the darker ones)

Any guidance on fit for the MacNeil last? With it being phased out and I can’t find anything else on the last (unless I’m missing something) to try on so it’s a bit of a leap of faith. Twice I’ve ordered an 11.5D MacNeil and both times it ended up being out of stock. I’m a very solid 11.5D on 511, and I tend to order 11E for 65 or 201, but can generally get away with an 11.5D when E isn’t offered. I’m 11D in HM (even with thick boot socks) but that seems to be a bit of an outlier. From what I’ve read, I feel like 11.5D is the right choice and the biggest thing to watch out for will be a loose heel.
The MacNeil is on the 97 last and is more tapered/pointy than the 65 with more instep volume. I take the same size in the 65 as the 97 which is 9 EEE I take an 8.5 EEE in the 201. Is you 511 a shoe or boot? I find the ease of fitting multiple sizes is best with boots, then bluchers, balmorals and finally loafers are the. hardest.

Ahh so that changes a lot. It means the gray isn't what was on the Barrett. Repello is scotch guard treated, but not full grain right?

Edit: is the kudu reverse kudu?

My apologies, in advance, for not paying close enough attention in class. Is there a reverse kudu in the TS? Or does this pertain to something else entirely?

Apparently, all the suede is Repello (not Janus), except gray, which is "kudu." I am not sure which kudu that is.

I agree with your assessment that boots are most forgiving in fit. Heel slip can often be irrelavent in a boot, but disastrous in a shoe. Bluchers can often be closed as tightly or as loosely as needed at each eyelet; whereas an Oxford can only adjust along a simple angle from "no adjustment" at the vamp to "completely open" along the top.

Interesting. Thanks. I am probably not ordering a pair this time but nonetheless curious about about the kudu.
