8K does NOT equal 2 pair of TS footwear, more like 9 or 10.....
What it tells me is the second pair of TS Shell cost me $8,695. That is one more pair than I got on the last TS Shell purchase.

My wife is very displeased with the lack of a stimulus deal. So she decided to send out her stimulus deal to the children. I was obviously dismayed when I got the email from my bank that $8000 from my checking account had gone out in one day. I asked her about the transfers and her reply was this, “2 pairs of TS for you.” Whooo hooo guys! Two pairs of Shell are in my future!! :p
What stimulus?

And for fans of Formula 1 in shoe threads. Sebastian Vettel says ""I have lots of options, The kitchen, the couch, the sofa. Lots of options."

Those wallets are beautiful. Is the intense blue wallet the Fat Herbie? If so, is it flat/thin enough for a jacket breast pocket? I've been tempted to pick up a FH for breast pocket use.

Here's a question for you and the group: do you regularly use more than 1 wallet, in a rotation like with shoes? I could easily see picking up a blue shell wallet to go with my burgundy wallet, but I wonder if I would actually swap cards, license, cash back and forth each day or every couple of days or if it would just be a headache? Obviously, you have to be a leather goods nut to even consider doing so, but I plead guilty to that.
Same boat here... I have a shell wallet that was originally ocean blue/green that I dyed navy. I've debated getting another one but dont think I can justify it. So, for now, I have told myself that I will get the new one when the old one is too beat up. That doesn't appear to be happening any time soon. The navy one seems to be essentially indestructible, which is why I got it in the first place.

What stimulus?
You know, when Congress votes on giving out a few trillion dollars to what seems like everyone but me.

Thanks. The intense blue is Tony the Ant.

Not sure I would wear it in the breast pocket.

It could be worn in a jacket breast pocket. It is a headache to swap back and forth. I have a few Ashlands, and find myself using the Frank the Enforcer more than any. It holds my debit card, ID and medical ID cards, plus a little cash if I choose to carry some. With only a few cards, it is so slim, I sometimes wonder if I have it in my pocket.

But did she say it had to be an AE trunk show?!?!
Let me be clear here. Before I married my wife I was always broke. I spent most of my money on booze and hookers. They rest of my money, I simply wasted.

I have my guarded goods green shell wallet and a black shaved shell wallet from Ashland? I tend to stick with one for months or year, then I might get a bug to switch. I have enough complication in my life with work alone. By the time I've picked shoes, pants, shirt, jacket, bow tie (don't even bother with pocket squares now), belt (though I find myself skipping this more often even with belt looped pants), watch (including winding/setting many days), hat (usually one I didnt wear day before)...I just don't care to mess with wallet swapping!

I always wanted to be one of those guys that changes his watch strap and wallet to match his shoes and belt.

I admire those guys and I've even tried to be one of those guys ... but I'm way too lazy. I have several AE shell wallets of various colors but they just sit in tupperware while I use the same brown shell wallet every day.

Hell I have to work just to rotate my shoes and avoid defaulting to the same pair every day.

Maybe when I retire I'll get to be one of those guys

What about your belt matching the watch strap of the girl you are with? (Tan alligator in this case.)

P1060381.jpeg

She was being her normal uncooperative self and wouldn't turn her wrist so more of her watch strap showed in the picture because she wanted her watch to show. In any event, she got mad at me a few years ago, after knowing each other for over forty years.

She had many annoying habits, one of which was quickly adding up in her head the value of what girls we passed on the street were wearing and then telling me. Used to point out to her old people (like us) were wearing jewelry from when gold was $35.00 an ounce.

For fans of food pictures in shoe threads, made myself a cheese and pickle sandwich for lunch yesterday.

Didn't know what to do with the crusts after I cut them off, so ate the crusts too.

That sandwich reminds me of a story....
About 8-10 years ago, my son decided to experiment by making himself a sandwich using three ingredients that he really liked. He used Swiss cheese, dill pickles, and wasabi. After finishing the sandwich, he said “that’s the worst thing that I’ve ever made myself eat.”
