I just don't get the obsession with Olive. I could be persuaded, but I just don't get it. Carry on.

Check these out. Natural shell from TS17. I went with chili edges and JR soles. Perfect construction in my opinion- straight caps, no fly away pinking, welt looks great and stitching is spot on. This is what TS shoes should look like every time they leave the factory.
@ae_ashley don’t you think this shell would look great on a Rogue or Bradley? View attachment 1323011 View attachment 1323012 View attachment 1323013

T.S.17.1?, ok I know we’re willing to wait for quality, but this is ridiculous.

To be clear, I am not sure if they ran out of chili shell for the orders placed for the TS. It may be the case that enough shell remains for the original orders and that they need additional shells for the remakes and repairs. Either way, my SA has been great to work with on getting my pair returned and replaced thus far and communication has been good as well. While I would prefer that my shoes were in hand now, I more prefer a high quality pair in my hands in the near future.
Agree. I was considering going for the chili first aves and if I dropped $806 on them, they weren't delivered and got no communication outside of me calling the SA, I'd be pissed. We're the enthusiasts; we're the ones that understand delays in rare leathers & trunk shows. At minimum, show us that AE understands its consumer base.

I'm with you, especially for a stitch cap oxford, but nobody is making me buy one so live and let live.

That said, olive or other greens in really casual shoes, e.g. chukkas, would be a nice change of pace and (I'm guessing) would pair easily with a lot of earth tone-ish casual clothes. Obviously, I haven't taken the olive or green plunge yet.

I mean.... I have loden and green shell strands, and I think green looks nice, but I’m just not sold on this greenish brown—a little too Mr. Hanky.

Whereas I wear primarily warmer/earthy tones and find the cool tone of the bottle green shell to be much harder to pair with my wardrobe than that lovely olive tone.

I don't get the obsession with burnt orange!
I'm not obsessed with either color. Now give me them in shell. Then I'll be obsessed with them. Although my vote is for shaved version of all the colors. Give me black, burg, garnet, chili, green, navy, natural, bourbon, brown in shaved shell. While you are at it resurrect Walnut and Truffle shell (I know not possible).

Bought a bunch in TS2019, and these were the surprise favorite for most worn.
Matches everything. If HMs fit, highly recommend blue!
Thanks to you and the other contributors. It’s a lovely looking material and these photos really showcase its beauty. I was tempted with a pair of the navy HMs but once again not in the same size as the pair I have. Ultimately I passed, but it was a difficult decision. If they were the right size and I didn’t just buy some boots for big bucks, I’d probably have taken a chance on them.
