I have not worn my GMTO brown shell Higgins Mills in a while -- and I can prove it! This bloom developed over the course of about three months:

I am waiting on a remake of my chili strands and my SA advised that the factory would not be able to get to them until receiving a restock of the chili shell at the end of this month. Could be a few months yet, but I am willing to wait for a great shoe.
They should communicate that they're out of chili shell. That's a pretty long wait and I'm not sure I'd be cool with how this is being handled.

Agree that this should be communicated to those who are waiting. If you've ever pre-ordered Alden however........................

This morning a foot of mine was barking.

So I decided on going with a comfort shoe.

Isn’t an Alden preorder actually just a prayer?
Do you mean wait list? Pre-order generally requires partial payment and it is unlikely you wouldn't get the item at that point. There are some circumstances where it gets damaged or something though and then you are out of luck if its rare shell. You'd of course get your money back.

Yeah! Yeah! Boots look like a lady's!

I don't know who decided to put red Dainite soles on these, but I was happy to pick them up as seconds for a song. Unlike a lot of you weasels, I'm OK being on Team Dainite.

This is a weird pair for me. My Sullivan Street boots on the same last broke in almost immediately and fit pretty much perfectly. But, with these Daltons, it's been a year and I'm still waiting for them to completely break in. Think I'm going to have to slather them in Bick 4 for a while and see what happens. The AE Leather Lotion didn't cut it for this pair. Oh well, at least they still look awesome and it's not like they're uncomfortable, just not to their full comfort potential yet. In the meanwhile, I'm going to walk around in the snow a couple more times today when I need to step away from work.

My heart palpitated when I saw these come up today, but under closer inspection, they are not 8 D. One of you 8 EEE guys should pick these up.
