I love longer collars. Are they available anywhere? Button down or point, either style.
Longer collars are the bomb. Not that I've found off the rack...

These are Brooks Brothers custom program shirts and are made here in the good old USA.
The non-iron fabric allows for customization of ANYTHING. Most of mine are 3 3/4'' collars (all button downs), but this baby I tried to dare a bit and they're 4 1/8''. Mother of Pearl buttons as well.

Beautiful tie!
Thank you! :D

It's a Hober grenadine. Really nice fabric and pattern.

Congrats on the promotion!!!!
Thank you!! Been working hard and my boss gave me the nod. Feels good to be noticed.

Navy Higgins . . . sat out the latest trunk show because a lot of my existing shell just isn’t getting the wear it deserves. Trying to rectify that a little (so I can justify more buying in future of course).
Always shied away from navy shell even though I love blue suede. I've been pulled back in hard... Those are amazing and really have some cool depth with the creases.

You did those right by getting it on leather. The true king of soles!

Well, when you find yourself unemployed and have:

A) Reached the end of the Internet
B) Exhausted your savings by buying more shoes
C) Have run out of things to watch on Netflix/Hulu/Amazon Prime/Disney+, etc.
D) Applied to every job that you have the experience/skill set for in the lower 48
E) Get yelled at by the wife to find something to do
F) Made as many shell watch bands as you have orders for
G) Need to show off your Long Branches

You do this:

On lucky job site number 13

And just when you thought you were just about finished (three weeks until a family closes on this house)...

They pour another slab next door...

My brown pair and gray pair of Long Branches have seen more work in the past few weeks then they have since I bought them...

So after several months (all during the pandemic so no ability to get to a store) and many pairs of shoes on different lasts, I think I may have finally figured out the only AE shoes and sizes that work for me:
  • 10D Wilbert, Leeds
  • 9.5E Strand/65Last
(calfskin only, the way suede and cordovan are lasted make this and any other size too tight or too big).
Now that I have Wilberts in both Brown (calf) and Dark Brown (CXL), what other AE shoes should I consider to sloooooooooowly fill out my collection as I move towards more casual shoes. As mentioned in an earlier post, I already have these from other brands:
- Alden 971 x Brooks Brothers straight tip cap-toe bluchers - black calf
- Alden 972 x Brooks Brothers straight tip cap-toe bluchers - walnut brown calf
- Alden 9695F x Brooks Brothers penny loafers - black calf
- Alden 9697F x Brooks Brothers penny loafers - brown suede
- Carmina 531 Derby/PTB - brown suede
- And Meermin Snuff SuperBuck NST blucher on the way....

What say the AE shoe aficionados?

If you’ve reached the end of the internet you have seen some things that you’ll never unsee.

I read stuff like this and I think some of you guys are way more discriminating about fit than I am

I think I'm TTS in everything but maybe I'm just lazy (I hate trying stuff on and stores don't stock B width anyway) and low maintenance
