Is it possible for shoe trees to deform the foot bed on new shoes? I have two pairs that I can feel a ridge down the center that lines up where the tree splits.

I don't use the split one's, but the initial wear of the Strandmok's I have on today formed some weird ridge down the middle. It had me concerned but after storing them on the trees the ridge was gone the next time I wore them.

Someone else on here recently said they had a ridge form as well??

My TS order came in, and I'm floored with how gorgeous they are. However, I noticed today (about a week since they arrived and after 2-3 wears) that on one shoe, the split welt has about a 1cm gap between ends, and there is "loose" leather right in that gap. Is this something to be concerned with? If so, is it fixable? I didn't poke too hard, but I think there might be an actual opening that would allow me to push something completely through the shoe.

I'm definitely going to reach out to a SA, but wanted any insights from folks here as well. I've also attached a pic of the left shoe, which doesn't have this issue. Thanks in advance!

Odd - most of my trees are split-toe, and I've never had this issue.

I’m not saying that trees caused this I’m asking is it possible.
