I drive to work but probably walk upwards of a mile on concrete/asphalt each day. I ahve a pair of swimms that i used to use that will probably break out again, just curious what others do. They're lined but still hate how they mark up a nice shine.
Better to mark up a nice shine, than to trash a pair of good shoes with water/snow/slush/ice....

A common thing people do is change into their dress shoes at work and wear something else for the walk. Out here where I live, it never rains. I celebrate and get excited every time I see rain is in the forecast.
Pre-retirement, I would wear AE PA's/5thAve almost every day, it rains frequently here. So either Swims or, as you have mentioned, crappy shoes for the walk from parking to the office, change to decent shoes once there.

I work 6 weeks a year in Seattle. I have found V Treads to be best. I don't care much about a little rain on my shell or calf.

As someone who owns the 1776 and wants football leather I don't think I can throw stones at LSU themed footwear
Hmm...Gridiron just arrived today. Going to try to cram my foot into a 1/2 size smaller.

Please pardon the still wet conditioner spots.

Hey guys, longtime lurker, new member here! Thought I’d show off some boots!

Haven’t seen these here yet, my Higgins Mill weatherproof boots with sole swap to commando. All Higgins can have commando put on them by going through your SA! Don’t overlook these boots gentlemen, they are awesome and only need a bit of conditioner and brushing.

Wearing walnut Lombards today.

IMG_3279.jpeg

Over the years A-E has offered similar shoes with with many names. One of the name was Players. Sometimes like to think of myself as more of a player than as a Lombard (although my old school were Normans).

For fans of "A-E In The Wild" pictures, the motorman on The Grove trolley suggested I wear his cap when the conductor took our picture. The cap was a 7 1/4 round. I wear a 7 3/8 long oval so the cap didn't fit quite right.

For fans of food pictures in shoe threads, a tarte tatin (it was more like apple in aspic) and me at the Dominique Ansel Bakery in The Grove.

Extra Added )Seasonal) Attraction: The entire Grove Christmas Tree, since only a little bit of it shows behind me in the other picture.
