I've half-jokingly referred to no shipping notification several times in here.

There's a reason for that.

Shipping notifications allow you to track the package and know when it's out for delivery.

So you can be there when the package arrives.

Not literally be pulling into the cul de sac as the porch pirate is leaving your stoop with your $725 boots in their hands.

If I'd had one more red light on the way home these would have been gone, and the question then becomes would AE have been willing or able to make them again?

As it stands i need to break out the brush and see if some of the **** on the toes goes away.

Between ashley's behavior (you're on ignore hun so whatever horseshit justification you have for nearly causing my death don't waste your time) and the complete lack of communication that nearly turned these into vaporware i don't see myself buying anything more from AE or recommending them to anyone else (given the carte blanche employees seem to have to share personal information with anyone and everyone, people have to protect personal info these days).

This just got real.

My sister in law had two packages stolen from her porch yesterday. Got it on video.
My neighbor had a package stolen last week, they got it on video as well, and neighbor is a local police detective. Thief picked the wrong house to steal a package from. The neighbor is relentless and WILL track the guy down....

County "administrative code" (created by appointed bureaucrats with no oversight) mandates anyone with a ring or other "connected" security system MUST allow the police unfettered, warrantless access 24/7. So we dont have cameras.

What i do have is zero ***** to give about re-awakening an IED related back injury to beat the **** out of a thief.

Maybe not going to the hospital, but definitely tripped a few times on her way out of the neighborhood. Ribs are prolly gonna hurt for a few days.
One can only hope broke rib punctured a lung......theif's deserve whatever they get and if one can catch them in the act and "take appropriate action" all I can say is way to go

There was someone in our neighborhood who was stealing packages as well. One of our friends got him on video. Normally, the FedEx guy will leave my shoes behind our fence gate. However, when I ordered the Alden 9501, UPS left the package on the front door step for several hours. No one was home, and I was very relieved to see no one stole that box.

I don't even mess around with it anymore. Delivery to my office only. Some amazon stuff I will ship to my house because if someone wants to steal dog food or something whatever I won't be thrilled but I don't chance electronics, clothing, shoes, etc. Ring doesn't do anything except show me someone took a thing. I am considering installing 5MP PoE cameras all around the house now though. I won't have to offer anyone access to that either since it will be between my server and my personal cloud not some BS subscription that makes money off of providing law enforcement access to my feed.

One toecap has about 2mm of adhesive just past the pinking, one big strip of it--and the other has scuffs and gouges that are much lighter in color. Brushing HELPED with those, but they're still extremely noticeable from the previously-mentioned 5-foot-test. Also some loose grain on the ankle of one. That or the shell got creased somehow.

They fit at least. But can't use bar lacing, too many eyelets. #firstworldproblems i suppose.

Bar lacing is over rated anyway

I have read that the next one is Suede, I wont forgive them and if they don't have MD x AE Chukka as an option,
I brought this up recently when I was in-store, and it's possible that MassDrop "owns" that style. The possible answer is reviving the Amok for the event, as it was similar to the MD chukka. The pattern is somewhere between the Dundee and the AExMD chukka (not quite as graceful as the MD chukka to my eye), 2 eyelet (which I greatly prefer vs. 3) and has a more casual vibe like the AExMD.

If there were a natural cxl Trunk Show in the future, what models would you guys want the most? For me, I would chose the Strand and Higgins, and maybe the Delray.
Everything? I'd pass on the HM since I already have one. I'd be all over a Strand/mok, MacNeil, or maybe McAllister. I'd even go for a revival of the Oak Street since I wasn't able to get one when they were a thing. If the widths were opened up on it, I think a Normandy would be pretty great, too.

Edit: speaking of widths opening up in new lasts, why the heck hasn't the HM been opened up yet? The boot is awesome!
