Enjoying the top 5 work here, wading in with my own AE top 5,
but that is absurd considering my daily 40 way tie for first!

In no particular order, here are 5 well-loved pairs!

Bradley thirds.
The AE ecosystem provides occasional gems. These were under $150 from our favorite ebayer.

Liverpool Seconds.
Ready to walk out in 15 seconds and comfortable all day!
View attachment 1283612

Natty First Avenues.
From TS 2014 (old shell footwear really does keep getting better)
View attachment 1283610

Austerity chili Daltons.
Groundbreaking pair that led to extreme collecting.

A "representative" Higgins (shaved).
Could be Shark, Loden or any shell color...
Since HMs fit me so well, I have severely overstocked on them.

Being honest, my single favorite AE model, ever (as defined by real purchases).

Nicely done, and I don't see anything wrong with being "severely overstocked" on a shoe/boot that fits great, looks great and is available in a variety of leathers.

Some musings about Mexico. There is no smoking inside like in the US.

Tourists can get confused. Is this inside or outside?

Inside as the sign clearly indicates.
What is historic in Mexico?

This 1700’s stuff barely makes it in
Coincidentally a Church down the Street that was built in 1912 awaits another 50 years or so for restoration. 1912 is not considered old in this country.

Last night I found out my wife considers herself a person of color. Yet I am white. Both of us are considered biracial in our respective countries. 30 years and this topic has never come up.

Rational for these pairs this trip?
One leather sole and one rubber sole just in case. I can also pair with one suede belt.

And, I am well spread out across (okay) Dainite, (Good) lugs and (awesome) JRs!
:hide:

Only regrets are chili and black shell (and maybe waxed) which will likely join us one fine day.

Happy wingtip Wednesday forum pals. "Storm Watch 2019: The Moistening" continues with scattered sprinkles that make even the brave LA residents stay home. My only concession to the pending weather was to wear CXL LWBs from the other guys. They are navy in color, which I find difficult to capture.

I love that car coat. After you posted it last year I went looking. I never found it. Any ideas for sourcing it?
I just checked the Schott website and could not find it anywhere. I ordered mine directly from Schott. Appears to be discontinued.

O’Connell’s still has size XL.
