I've only had issues with the one place, the others in the area have been nice, pleasant and helpful. So it's not endemic to the type of store.
And on a shoe note to keep it on point....wore the Alpine's last night to walk the dog. The Vibram ice grip sole really does grip on wet ice, it's weird but I think one would have to purposefully try and slip with it. I have been reading about it and the sole is supposed to keep it's grippy-ness for 200 miles of wear, that's a lot of dog walks.

I’m sure I could manage to fall. They sound like they do their job! 200 miles goes super quick though!

That's what I'm going to have put on the Sturgis when they go to Nashville this spring.

Asking out of genuine curiosity, but am I the only one who hasn't bothered to check?

How far along the stated 12 week timeline are we now?
I haven't bothered to check, but Ashley did give me the status back when I ordered my first pair of Hamiltons. At the time, my shaved were the only ones queued up. Haven't asked since. Still have another three weeks in the timeline since I put in my order, but they didn't specify specifically if it was 8-12 weeks from placing order or from the end of the show...

I've been slowly building up the collection (it's already very large) over the past few months and I haven't shared diddly squat yet! :D Also, just bought my first camera (for the wife mainly, early Christmas present) so I've been having fun taking photos of said shoes and finding an excuse to photograph anything....

With that said, here is the most recent addition; non-AE, Grant Stone, so avert thine eyes. I refuse to spoiler Goodyear Welted goodness!! My first (hopefully not last) Grant Stone!

Navy suede Ottawa boot with beautiful toe stitching and insane SPI on the welt. Also, the cleanest welt joint I've ever seen. I look forward to wearing these a lot. I am extremely impressed and the fit is perfect. Removed the original laces and installed AE rounds.

these LEs look fantastic - hows the build quality vs AE?
