Has anyone picked up a waxed suede HM? I am really wondering about how this will look after walking around. Will the base color of the suede start to show in the break area of the boot? Will scuffs on the toe and heel bring out the real suede color? If the base suede color is a rusty brown, I think the boot would age in a very cool manor. I am waiting to see how this leather patinas over time. So, if you got em, please wear often and post after each wear.

Going by the spreadsheet anyway, no style has been ordered in every color. Two, the Dundee and Strand, each have five. With Dundee lacking an antique cherry and Strand a navy.

Is the strand still the most orders on the sheet? When I added my order, all boots outperformed all shoes but for a single style the Strand was Grand.

Nobody should be applying chili welts or edges.

Everyone has been given very specific ordering directions and the appropriate corresponding welt for each possible choice. There is a technical term for each choice, meaning there is a welt color for a flat trans brown edge and a different one for a trans brown edge with a storm welt, so on and so forth. The welt color isn't open for customization, it automatically is assigned according to your welt/edge combination.

This was evident from the original Trunk Show post: #23,543

You only have a choice of an edge color and weather you want a flat or storm welt. NOWHERE did it say "welt color".

There were no buff samples. Only translucent. Buff is very blonde, much brighter than translucent brown. No chili welts.

All the welt and edge color talk is making my head swim. I am so happy that I just asked for translucent brown. I will trust AE to make a shoe that is pleasing to the eye.

Why waste a trunk show order on brown? Brown is cool and all, but you could buy a brown shell AE shoe 365 days a year in many different styles. How many opportunities do you have to order a green, chili, or shaved pair?
