The Bayfield is pretty good, but the Strand is king.

Bourbon, brown, burg, navy, green and black shell.

Thanks! That's a really nice color brown on that pair. Or maybe it's just the light. I thought they were something more exotic. Having said that... Brown shell is highly underrated.

If the chilis are close to the garnet, that’s going to be a pass for me. My office is too conservative to pull those off. Will reserve judgment until we see a sample photo.

Torn between the Strand in burgundy or brown on an antique welt. Worried that they might be similar to a short wing bal in no. 8 that I have on order from Alden, but AE’s burgundy seems different enough to justify. Plus, they’re not regularly available. I suppose I have time to decide, but this thread got me hyped.

Maybe a lil warm for boots in LA today. These are Dundee in snuff suede from the seconds flash sale (back in March) at $157. Flaw might have been some loose thread ends?? *Edit: I swapped the standard laces for waxed and a bit longer.

Oh that helps, I walked into the Michigan Ave store a few minutes before the event was supposed to start last year, only to find out that they had been taking orders all day. Luckily they still had some green left.

It occurs to me that while I specified when the in store mixers are, I did not specify that orders can be placed with any store from September 13 through September 23. This is important to note and I will edit my original post to reflect that.

While we ponder over the unknown chili and shaved shell colors, it’s important to also consider regular cordovan offerings but in an atypical color. Bradley only comes on burgundy but would be sweet in brown. Leeds and MacNeils are not offered in brown. Strands are not offered in burgundy or black, but both are sweet colors. The list goes on.

I agree on the brown shell Leeds, and I honestly think that should be a regular offering. It's a very practical pairing of design and color that I would wear any day. I didn't see the Bradley on the list, is it being offered this time?
