Dang those are nice (both pair)Black shell park avenues and a pickup from our favorite eBay seller.
Some guy wore the fifth avenues once and returned them - I feel quite lucky to have purchased them in such a good state. Better than most firsts I've seen in bourbon. View attachment 1105530 View attachment 1105531
The creasing on your oxblood PAs looks like the creasing on my oxblood 5As....New to AE and need some advice on my Park Avenues
Two questions on the PAs:
1. Is the creasing on my oxblood PA normal? Hope I’m just being OCD about the creases, but don’t see the same creases on my Fifths or Strands which also fit me noticeably better. My PA don’t have heel slip but they don’t fit like a glove either (I’ve only worn this pair 2 or 3 times).
2. Is this bowing on the pair of new Black PA Seconds acceptable? Haven’t worn them yet, but the bowing stood out compared to the other pairs of AE I have.

The creasing is not an issue. Different shoes, even in the same style may have significantly different crease patterns. Leather won't be from the exact same animal, after all.New to AE and need some advice on my Park Avenues

I agree with this. If the bowing remains after lacing and causes discomfort, I’d return. If not, it’s not a big deal. The creasing is not an issue. Different shoes, even in the same style may have significantly different crease patterns. Leather won't be from the exact same animal, after all.
As to the bowing, if it doesn't cause discomfort when you are wearing them, it is not a problem. I suggest wearing on carpet for a bit and seeing if it bothers you.

He seems to have several of these "worn once" offerings lately. I also recently picked up a pair of flawless fifth aves from him that do appear to have been worn maybe once (perhaps only just tried on, but they are just slightly creased). Nice score there. Those look terrific.
I would say these are both normal superficial occurrences. As others have pointed out, the way it feels and ‘behaves’ while you wear it is what matters.New to AE and need some advice on my Park Avenues

Both @Roycru and I had a tan version with the gum lite sole. The real issue I had was that the tongue was floppy, and not stitched on one side. The shoe was unstructured and clumsy altogether, and was donated immediately.
Such a clean look! While on the subject of floppy-tongued Strandmoks, never had any problems with the tongues in the tan suede Strandmok 0.0's but had all sorts of problems with the tongues in the grey suede Strandmok 2.0's.

Replaced the tan laces that came with them with light grey laces from Shoelace Express.
The tan suede Strandmok 0.0's are very comfortable. Withdrew a pair of grey suede Strandmok 2.0's from the Shoebank thinking they would fit the same as the tan suede Strandmok 0.0's (also withdrawn from the Shoebank) but found out they didn't.
Don't wear the grey suede Strandmok 2.0's very much since they are not very comfortable when walking.
When I sold around half my shoes on eBay before leaving Arizona, the grey suede Strandmok 2.0's were one of the very few pairs of shoes I didn't get any bids on.
