Picking up some gifts in my Bourbon Shell Strands that recently arrived (eBay). They're a 9E and I wear a 9D, so V-gap is completely gone :(

There are some who can wear shoes with a closed gap (@Roycru is one of them), but be careful with that. How do they feel when you walk? Is there heel slip? Does the vamp cause you any pain?

What do you guys like as a conditioner for brown Strandmonks? No polish from what I was told. Maybe Saphir Renovateur or is that too much of a 'cleaner'?

As long as the shoes aren’t loose, isn’t a closed gap on oxfords the ideal? (Not that I achieve it often with my moderately high instep.)

Sometimes. It depends on the model of the shoe and the person's foot shape. The 65 balmorals were designed to have some gap, where as the 108 balmorals were designed for a closed gap. For me, a closed gap usually is painful. For others like Roy, it is no issue.

AE Leather Lotion won't screw with the wipe off burnish

You know you have a problem when your wife tells you to come over your own ****.

Chili HM in hand and must say I'm blown away by these. I also got the chili 5th Aves in TS19.2, and have to say this shade of shell is fantastic. The smell of the shell is seriously intoxicating too. A very sincere thank you to @ae_ashley on these!

Ho Ho ho! Double entry for last night's party and this morning. The navy and green rugby looks a bit washed out in my photo along with the dark gray cords.

Had to commit the sin of wearing them back to back days since 'tis the season!

Woah, check out these vintage AE shoes. I won't be bidding on these, because I prefer split toe. Excellent condition for how old these are.

I wore my Rudolph two nights in a row. People see the Rudolph as a holiday shoe but can’t figure out exactly why.
