Here in Illinois, they don't bother with signs on the highway telling us to use caution, they just assume we will, when we are not dodging the potholes. I think MD is more "user friendly"

MD is terrible with snow, though. Most schools/libraries/daycares shut down today with what you see in my photo.

Maybe it is just me, but I REALLY have a difficult time wrapping my head around this Mass Drop ad that came to me in the email. It claims this pair "bridges the gap" between athletic shoes and dress shoes. Is this really a gap that needs to be "bridged?" Are these for the guy who wants to pretend they are dress shoes for the office and yet he is ready in case the boss blows a whistle and tells everyone to hit the track and "Give me a mile!" They are the mullet of shoe design. AND all you kids get off my lawn!

BTW, they are apparently cheaply built as the reviewers say they are falling apart after 3 wears.

"Dress Sneakers"
"Bridges the gap between athletic shoes and dress shoes"

They are too late, the Driggs has this important segment covered.

I have wanted some shearling Higgins for some time now, and maybe next year?

In the interim, @madhat posted these Rancourts on preorder sale at $360:

(5 material choices, I kinda like these Bisons)
But they only list up to size 13, shearling lining would require a last they do not have 15ee but it never hurts to ask.

Also, sure has been quiet on the Trunker front.

@smfdoc It probably sounds perfect for 18-20 year olds that are not yet adult, but still want some dress wear vibe.. Although i cannot see in what universe those would be considered any type of dress.

The universe that prefers non-cuffed dress pants to be hemmed 2 inches above the ankle, with a 5.5" opening, and so "tailored" as to be virtually impossible to sit in lest the seams cry out in anger.

And they'd wear them sockless, with a t shirt under rolled up jacket sleeves, and lapels popped.

Basically everyone that calls themselves an influencer.

Wearing Brogue Suede Strands (with Dainite soles) today. Can (and often do) walk around all day wearing shoes with Dainite soles.

For fans of "A-E In The Wild" pictures.

The idea was to have the shoes show through the openings in the table but when you depend on someone else to take a picture sometimes things don't always work out as you may have hoped they would turn out.

Mary Berry fans out there may notice the Victoria Sponge Cake looks like the Victoria Sponge Cake in her recipe.

Extra Added Attraction: First Easter Bunny sighting of 2019 in a shop near the tea shop.
