Those look really great! I hope my pair looks just as awesome (well more awesome because JR soles ;))

I did just list several pairs on eBay (worn not a flip). I listed them high because the number of lowball offers I get generally never cease to amaze. I also autoblocked offers I figure are too low to start a negotiation. I am more than happy to deal with fellow SF members off of the eBay platform but when I mentioned them before nobody had mentioned any interested so off to the bay they went. I have no urgency to sell and if I can't get what I want for them they will just be designated as occasional use not part of the 60 day rotational cycle.

THOROGOODS! You may grow to like those more than you might think. Mine have some miles on them after building a new garage this year... but didn't come with any fancy cornbread.

They’re pretty comfortable (and they look respectable as far as steel toe boots go), but I’d still prefer to wear dress shoes instead.

Is this charcoal a bit too dark for burgundy? I'm never quite sure.

Happy Monday, everyone!

My top 5 AEs (that I'm grateful to have) in no particular order:

20190705_100245.jpg

MTO Jefferson Indy on the 65 last (hap tip to Mistress Ashley)

natty strands 22.jpg

Natty Strands (thanks to LJ)

truffle 102419.jpg

Truffle Dundee (thanks to JS)

JA Rush st 102519.jpg

Rush Street (Joseph Abboud version)

natty hm 101119-2.jpg

OG Natural CXL Higgins Mill

20190809_074906.jpg

TS19.1 Bourbon Strands (another Ashley special)

brown hm 110519.jpg

Brown shell HM - my second pair due to sizing down.

My two pair of chili shell (Dundee and HM) from TS19.2 are still to come but I strongly suspect they will throw a wrench into this top 5 list.

Happy Monday, everyone!

Echoing everyone else, I can't think of a color burgundy wouldn't go with except maybe black.... But I don't have any black so it doesn't pertain to me... :)

Another new addition to the collection, as promised. More to come later this week.

Finally picked up a pair of Indy boots (my first :bounce2:) and I am thrilled! I was really after the 270 (split?) welt like the original Indy. It slims down what is an otherwise chunky boot. I don't recall seeing this pair on the net much (ever?) in this configuration.

The antique edging really looks nice with this boot and while I was after a leather sole (unicorn tears), I'm coming around on Commando soles for less dressy models like this one as it's extremely versatile and don't feel bad about picking apples in it like my plain toe boots... ;) The hand stitching is very well done and isn't squared off like I've seen on some shoes.

Very pleased that AoSF offers this and the Trubal last fits like a dream. I can't wait to stomp around in these soon.

Very clean welt and tapers the rear of the boot nicely.

Gorgeous hand stitching.

No Horween stamp like I've seen some have.
