Agreed that you probably would want to fill it yourself in terms of wax/polish. However, the valet is nice enough, and comes with daubers, brushes, and cloths. If you don't have those already, may be worth it.

I had a lot of creams/brushes/cloths when I bought my valet. My valet however came from Amazon, is not cedar, and frankly is pretty low end.

Absolutely. Sorry, I should've been more specific. I'm talking about the JA brand - suits, shirts, etc. Thanks for the reply and sorry for the confusion.

I personally never use mine as I take my shoes off to work on them. Mine ends up just being a storage box

At $209 for seconds and $346.50 (nice round number) for firsts, that's the lowest I've seen my favorite boots advertised. Just trying to do my part...

How'd you size on those compared to some other boots? 11.5 D is a pretty good size for me for most boots. They're a touch bigger than I need, but that extra volume comes in handy during winter when I go with thicker socks.

I use the valet to brush my shoes when I first put them on, and before I take them off--again just a quick brushing to spiff up before and after. Otherwise, this mainly serves to store my equipment.

I have limited experience with the 511 last but I originally went TTS in my Dundees and found the toebox to feel just a bit too tight in height and width. That boot had poron though, and I’m not exactly sure what is going on inside the Sullivan, but I went up a half size in length for this pair and they are a dream. The heel might be a bit wider, but since it’s a boot and the lacing can be so variable it hasn’t been an issue.

I’m also one of those that can wear tts in the 65 last though, so maybe it’s not too much of a surprise I sized up for these.

I've had the same experience--though I stuck with my TTS/65 size for my Dundees 2.0 and after a handful of wears, they fit pretty well. I wouldn't wear thick socks very comfortably, but they are perfect for standard dress socks which I wear 85% of the time anyhow.
