With all the "Made in America" they're doing, it was surprising not to see the 1776 though...

Morning Gents - shell MacNeils got the call for me this morning. On a semi-related note, I have brown Higgins Mills being delivered on Wednesday, any ideas on what belt to pair with them? I’m thinking the Sterling Ave in brown, has anyone tried pairing that belt with Higgies?

I have a kiwi brush and a few AE brushes. I prefer larger size and more dense bristle count on the AE brushes. To me, worth a few more dollars.
I love that place! The SR-71 in the large main hanger is my favorite, but there are so many fine aircraft there. Were you able to see any of the guys working on restoration in the side hanger? When I was there a few years ago, there was a gent fabbing parts for a P-51 restore project. Just awesome! If you are making the trek north to the capital and have some free time, hit me up - we can do lunch.

I think that would work. Could also look at the Quay or Mackey as possibilities.

I pair my brown HMs with a bison belt from Torino. It’s actually what I’m wearing today, so here’s a picture for you.

There are a few options that appeal to me but your tastes might be different.
Cypress Ave Belt in Brown. On Clearance and it is textured.

A new Radcliff belt on sale, I love these belts but not for everyone. The leather is thick, veg tanned, but not pasted at all. They let it shrink when drying. So it is stretchy. They have that is brown also.

The New American Ave belt is in Bison and works well with textured leathers.
I also like the Hand Stitched belt. Both are on sale. The American Ave is below.

    General question:
If you were Caleres, what decisions would you have made the same as them and what decisions would you have changed?
    For me:
    1. I would have decided to bring handsewns to DR sooner than they did.
    2. Replace the Road Warriors with the new Nomad collection.
    3. Bringing in equipment to recraft Blake.
Things that I would have done differently:
    1. Bring in some sleeker looking dress shoes from Italy. Longer lasts and some simple design stitching on the sides or very small punch designs. Something that does not look like an AE light weight.
    2. Bring in the Bonwelt street and Surry about $50 less than the heritage and regular casual lines. I think they would benefit by differentiating between the old guard and newer lines that are supposed to attract a new breed of customers.
    3. Do not bring in any sneakers unless they have something to offer other than a lower priced high profit shoe. My god the Porters were better last year.
    What do you guys think?
